Job Description

As a Sales Development Manager, you will lead and shape Rippling's sales development efforts, guiding a diverse team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to grow and reach their full potential. This role emphasizes coaching, fostering an inclusive environment, and continuous professional development for both the team and yourself. You will collaborate with Marketing and Sales to develop strategies that drive demand, optimize conversion rates, and improve sales processes, making a significant impact on team success and your career trajectory. This position is ideal for a leader passionate about developing people and honing leadership capabilities.
Must have:
  • Manage and develop a diverse team of SDRs, focusing on skill-building, career growth, and creating an environment of support and inclusivity.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to drive top-of-funnel activities, implement targeted campaigns, and create high-quality opportunities.
  • Utilise data to identify trends, drive team performance, and ensure that SLAs and KPIs are consistently met.
  • Provide individualised coaching and feedback to help SDRs excel in their roles, improve prospect engagement, and have a positive impact on SDRs development.
  • Partner with Cross functional roles and higher management to align SDR strategies with broader business objectives, bringing fresh ideas to the table.
  • Work closely with teams across the organisation to ensure alignment on messaging, targeting, and campaign execution.
  • Actively participate in recruiting, onboarding, and nurturing new SDR talent, fostering an inclusive culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Set clear expectations, track progress, and support your team in meeting and exceeding goals.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the organisation to ensure alignment on messaging, targeting, and campaign execution.
  • Talent Development: Actively participate in recruiting, onboarding, and nurturing new SDR talent, fostering an inclusive culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Performance Management: Set clear expectations, track progress, and support your team in meeting and exceeding goals.

Qualifications

  • Ability to logically analyse information using data to draw conclusions, optimise team performance, and drive continuous improvement.
  • People-Centric Leader: A natural mentor with a proven track record of developing and uplifting sales professionals in a supportive and inclusive manner.
  • Proven Track Record: Strong experience in SaaS sales and closing new business with a demonstrated history of consistent goal achievement in a highly competitive environment (top 10% performer)
  • Adaptable and Resilient: Thrives in fast-paced environments, managing change with grace and a solution-focused mindset.
