LegalZoom is seeking a Managing Director - Site Leader to lead its India-based technology and business teams. The role involves strategic leadership, team development, and cross-functional collaboration. The leader will drive product engineering initiatives, overseeing a team of 75+ employees. Key responsibilities include strategic leadership, operational excellence, technical guidance, talent development, and cultural stewardship. The leader will act as the liaison between local team, senior leadership and stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Design, Finance, and Marketing, ensuring alignment in vision, strategy, and execution. Also responsible for daily operations to maintain high productivity, optimizing workflows, and refining agile software development processes. Moreover, utilizing technical expertise to provide insights, staying abreast of innovations to guide the team effectively and investing in continuous professional growth. The leader will inspire and motivate the team, fostering a positive environment.
Must Have

- Strategic Leadership & Driving Results: Serve as the liaison between the local team, senior leadership, and global stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Design, Finance, and Marketing, ensuring alignment in vision, strategy, and execution. Take full ownership of projects developed by the team in India, leading end-to-end to deliver business objectives.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations to maintain high productivity, ensuring team members focus on the right priorities. Optimize workflows, minimize bottlenecks, and refine agile software development processes.
- Technical Guidance: Utilize your technical expertise to provide strategic insights, making data-driven decisions on product and service development. Stay abreast of technological innovations to guide the team effectively.
- Talent Development: Invest in team members' continuous professional growth through mentoring and coaching. Attract new talent, ensuring high standards and alignment with company values.
- Cultural Stewardship: Inspire and motivate the team, fostering a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years leading high-performing engineering teams, with a proven track record in developing and supporting full-stack consumer SaaS applications at scale. Prior experience as a Site Lead for a US-based company is highly desirable.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on support, exhibiting a bias for action. Proven experience in cross-functional product teams, working closely with Product Management and Design.
- Talent Management: Proven ability to hire, grow, and retain a team of high-performing engineers.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in English.
