Job Summary

Nine is Australia’s largest locally owned media company. As Marketing Manager for Nine Queensland, you will lead local marketing and brand strategy within the Programming team. This critical role drives audience growth, builds brand loyalty, and develops partnerships across Nine's portfolio in Queensland. You will develop annual marketing plans, execute tactical promotions, oversee local activities, collaborate with internal teams, analyze market data, and mentor junior staff to achieve business goals and enhance brand presence.

Must Have

  • Develop the annual marketing plan, integrating national campaigns and focusing on major local events.
  • Build external relationships to execute tactical promotions that deliver audience growth and measurable commercial value.
  • Oversee the efficient implementation of all local marketing activities, including daily creative, sponsorship deals, and legally compliant competitions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, news, production) and manage collateral production to align efforts with business goals and brand guidelines.
  • Deeply understand the QLD market and competitor activity, and compile post-event data (ratings/revenue) to measure success and optimize future strategy.
  • Mentor and guide junior marketing staff to ensure high-performing and innovative local marketing activations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, plus permanent eligibility to work in Australia.
  • Strong passion for entertainment, sport, television, and streaming content.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines.
  • Possess a pro-active, solution-oriented mindset and demonstrate high levels of accountability and responsibility.
  • Prior experience in a senior marketing role.

As the Marketing Manager for Nine Queensland, you will be the local marketing leader and brand strategist within the Programming team. This critical role is responsible for driving audience growth, building brand loyalty, and developing key partnerships across Nine's entire portfolio within the state.

Day to day you will:

  • Develop the annual marketing plan, integrating national campaigns and focusing on major local events (e.g., State of Origin).
  • Build external relationships to execute tactical promotions that deliver audience growth and measurable commercial value.
  • Oversee the efficient implementation of all local marketing activities, including daily creative, sponsorship deals, and legally compliant competitions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, news, production) and manage collateral production to align efforts with business goals and brand guidelines.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:
