Our Emerging Talent Programs offer unique opportunities for students, recent graduates, and emerging talent to work alongside teams creating movies, TV shows, and other experiences. These seasonal, paid assignments provide meaningful work, build experience, and develop skills. You'll gain challenging tasks, real-world experience, and networking opportunities. This Fall Internship (September-December 12th) requires 10-29 hours/week, in-person, ideal for students continuing education through professional experience.
Must have:
  • Support marketing & publicity team for upcoming films.
  • Conduct film marketing and demographic research.
  • Organize physical and digital assets, analytics, and promotional items.
  • Analyze digital marketing trends; assist in media asset creation and copywriting.
  • Perform other marketing or administrative tasks as needed.
  • Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program or higher.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain organizational skills while handling multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Job Details

Our Emerging Talent Programs, which includes Interns, Trainees, and Finance Rotational Associates, offer unique opportunities for students, recent graduates, and emerging talent to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These seasonal, paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that builds on your experience and develops your skills further. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, and many educational and social networking opportunities.

This Fall Internship is from September through December 12th (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work 10-29 hours/week, in person in the specified office location. This position is ideal for a student enrolled in an accredited college or university interested in continuing their education through professional experience.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

Marketing & Publicity – Sony Pictures Classics

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the marketing & publicity team by executing tasks related to each of the several upcoming Sony Pictures Classics’ films
  • Conduct film marketing and demographic research
  • Organize physical and digital assets, analytics and promotional items related to each film’s campaign.
  • Analyze digital marketing trends and assist in the creation of media assets and copy writing for digital campaigning
  • Perform other marketing or administrative tasks as needed by the marketing & publicity team

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program or higher
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint (familiarity with Adobe suite is a plus)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain organizational skills while handling multiple projects at one time
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion for film, and film marketing, with a strong desire to learn and grow professionally

The anticipated base salary for this position is $19/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
