Job Description

This role at Intel involves SOC level pre-silicon validation using emulation for Xeon servers, bridging IP/die validation and post-silicon teams, focusing on end-to-end validation. Responsibilities include functional logic verification, developing scalable verification plans and environments, executing plans, debugging issues in the pre-silicon environment, and collaborating with various design and architecture teams. The engineer will also document test plans, ensure security coverage, and improve existing verification infrastructure.
Good To Have:
  • Experience with Synopsys simulation and coverage tools.
  • Assertion based verification.
  • Knowledge in RTL, Verilog, VHDL.
  • Experience in validation at MCP.
  • Experience with pre-Si verification with System Verilog OVM/UVM on content development.
  • Scripting languages such as Python, Simics.
  • Knowledge of CPU architecture and X86.
Must Have:
  • Perform functional logic verification of an integrated SoC to ensure design meets specifications.
  • Define and develop scalable and reusable block, subsystem, and SoC verification plans, test benches, and environment.
  • Execute verification plans and define and run emulation and system simulation models to verify the design.
  • Replicate, root cause, and debug issues in the presilicon environment.
  • Find and implement corrective measures to resolve failing tests.
  • Collaborate and communicate with SoC architects, micro-architects, full chip architects, RTL developers, postsilicon, and physical design teams.
  • Document test plans and drive technical reviews of plans and proofs with design and architecture teams.
  • Incorporate and execute security activities within test plans, including regression and debug tests.
  • Maintain and improve existing functional verification infrastructure and methodology.
  • Absorb learning from postsilicon on validation quality and update test plans for future products.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or STEM related field with 3+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree with 2+ years.
  • 2+ years of work experience in Pre-Silicon Validation on Emulation.
  • 2+ years of work experience in complex SOC validation with multiple IPs.
