Job Description:
- Provides tactical and strategic operational support to ensure successful development and ramp of a high volume or technology development fabrication facility.
- Provides technical expertise throughout the product lifecycle, aiding new product introduction (NPI) builds and sustaining or optimizing manufacturing processes.
- Defines and drives the development and implementation of manufacturing decisions, support tools and methodologies and maintains standards for operation sequences and processes.
- Sustains manufacturing activities by defining manufacturing requirements, assessing manufacturing technologies, and developing a manufacturing plan and supply chain to enable it.
- Analyzes current processes to identify areas for improvement and correct process deviations. Inspects the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies.
- Analyzes key factory metrics and drive improvements while providing direction that will improve overall factory performance and identify system enhancements and optimization opportunities and drives the roadmap for implementation.
- Develops, enhances, and troubleshoots factory reporting systems and works with automation groups to develop business systems and processes to monitor factory performance.
- Partners with factory operations management, engineering, and automation stakeholders to understand operational goals, and develop appropriate strategies and tools to design, develop, and scale coordination for all products, and monitor performance.
- Supports Manufacturing Operations Managers and their direct reports in executing output goals.
- Collaborates with business partners/stakeholders to solve problems impacting factory operations, capacity, and overall health.
- Provides guidance to product, module and supply chain engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements throughout equipment selection, design, and qualification to best utilize equipment and to ensure it meets all manufacturing requirements.
- Develops and distributes manufacturing documentation in aid of product design, configuration, process and build requirements.
- Defines and drives requirements for Automation station controllers and systems that deliver manufacturing capabilities for key product roadmaps.
- Owns factory support equipment like command center workstations, factory laptops, manufacturing small form factor devices or compute elements (e.g. NUCs) and associated equipment.
- Responsible for defining Factory daily loading plan including key modules conversion strategies and prioritizing meeting weekly/monthly/quarterly delivery schedule goal with the best Cycle Time and Utilization.
- Escalate and follow-up between external key stakeholders and Shift operations if encountering any issue that potentially impacts delivery to ensure flawless executions.
- Lead functional working groups or participate in task force that supports the internal Factory loading plan to respond any activities impacting Product Health Indicator (PHI)/Model of Record (MOR)/capacity gaps.
- Interface with local start-up team and Virtual Factory (VF) key partners to drive improvement projects that directly impact Manufacturing operations, delivery system and process.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelors degree, technical and engineering major, Industrial Systems Engineering or Industrial Engineering or Industrial Management are preferred, with at least 2 years of working experience.
- Having working experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Be strong in both verbal and written communication skills in English and stakeholder management skills.
- Good in influencing and being passionate in working with people and resolving issues through constructive confrontation.
- Knowledgeable in structural problem solving methods, data driven mindset.
