Job Summary
Intel is seeking a Graphics Software Technician to join their team. This role involves editing, modifying, and debugging software products according to test plans. The technician will work on semi-routine assignments, using judgment to solve nonstandard problems, and acting on general instructions. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of relevant experience, including familiarity with graphics APIs, shader programming, and 3D graphics fundamentals.
Must Have
- Edits, modifies, and/or debugs software products in accordance with software test plans and procedures.
- Typically, works on semi routine assignments within generally defined parameters, and utilizes judgment to resolve nonstandard problems.
- Acts on general instructions received in work assignments.
- High School Diploma or GED AND 2+ years relevant experience
- Experience with graphics APIs (OpenGL, DirectX or Vulkan) and shader programming.
- Experience with contributing to open-source Mesa 3D project.
- Understanding of 3D graphics fundamentals and mathematics.
Good to Have
- Programming languages - C or C++ project development and with open-source software
- Experience with Linux gaming stack (including Wine, Proton, etc).
- Experience with system software for Linux OS.
- Technical expertise on Linux Operating system architecture and device driver model.
- Technical expertise and contributions on Linux DRM subsystem and graphics/compute SW stack.
- Experience with AI/Machine Learning tools and workflow.

The Software Team drives customer value by enabling differentiated experiences through leadership AI technologies and foundational software stacks, products, and services. The group is responsible for developing the holistic strategy for client and data center software in collaboration with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners and OEMs. The group delivers specialized NPU IP to enable the AI PC and GPU IP to support all of Intel's market segments. The group also has HW and SW engineering experts responsible for delivering IP, SOCs, runtimes, and platforms to support the CPU and GPU/accelerator roadmap, inclusive of integrated and discrete graphics.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $72,810.00-102,790.00 USD (Hourly Role)
