Job Description
Job Description:
This position requires candidates to upload a resume in English; you are welcome to upload multiple versions of your resume if you prefer but an English version of your resume will be required to be considered for this position.
Intel's Technology Ecosystem Creation Team is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Enabling Engineer to help deliver a vibrant and rich ecosystem of innovative products from leading external Independent Hardware Vendor (IHV) and Memory companies, with the objective of advancing the capabilities of Intel Architecture datacenter platforms. You and the team will determine a strategic plan identifying which industry participants are most important to include in the program and develop a roadmap to influence them to create the right set of products. You will be expected to work with key decision makers-which may include C-level executives such as CEOs, CTOs, General Managers, VPs of Engineering, and VPs of Marketing-to influence product roadmaps, provide appropriate technical enabling, and manage schedules and execution to align these third-party products with Intel product launches. The end result will be a full ecosystem of IHV products that enable our customers to deliver the most competitive platforms in the industry using Intel Architecture.
This role also includes internal coordination with Intel architects and other stakeholders to influence external roadmaps to align with Intel platform needs.
The challenges include leading these companies through some of the largest changes in I/O in Intel's history. Over the next few processor generations, Intel will deliver two new generations of PCIe, each requiring the IHV ecosystem to execute at unprecedented speed, complexity, and investment. In addition, Intel is ramping Compute Express Link (CXL), which provides significant new capabilities to the IHV and Memory communities. CXL enables new system architectures where CPUs and devices can be interconnected within a coherent memory domain, allowing new methods for memory expansion and pooling.
The team is also expanding into emerging technologies such as UALink and Ultra Ethernet, reflecting Intel's evolving datacenter roadmap and the need to continuously grow the ecosystem.
Candidates must be enthusiastic about managing programs that extend beyond Intel and have industry-wide impact. Expertise and credibility in the industry standards community is strongly preferred. Moderate travel is expected, typically 1-2 times annually.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
