Job Summary

The ServiceNow team collaborates with business and IT stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and innovative ServiceNow solutions. This role focuses on hands-on development, customization, and platform enhancements across ITSM and related modules. The ideal candidate will contribute to solution design, scripting, integration, and platform optimization while learning and growing under senior guidance. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and configuring solutions across ServiceNow ITSM modules, customizing forms, workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and notifications, building and supporting integrations, and managing ACLs and CMDB.

Technical Environment:

  • ServiceNow Platform: ITSM, CSM (basic), CMDB
  • Scripting & Development: JavaScript, Glide scripting, Client & Server scripts, UI policies, Business Rules
  • Integrations: REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, Flow Designer
  • Platform Components: Notifications, ACLs, Service Catalog, Forms, UI Builder (basic)
  • DevOps/Agile: Update Sets, ATF (basic), Agile Methodology

What You’ll Do:

Develop & Deliver

  • Design, develop, and configure solutions across ServiceNow ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, etc.).
  • Customize forms, workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and notifications using JavaScript and Glide APIs.
  • Build and support integrations with enterprise systems via REST/SOAP APIs and Flow Designer.
  • Configure and manage notifications, email templates, and triggers.
  • Develop and maintain Access Control Lists (ACLs) for secure access control.
  • Support CMDB maintenance, data imports, and discovery-related tasks.

Collaborate & Support

  • Work with functional and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver optimized solutions.
  • Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and resolving platform-related issues.
  • Participate in platform upgrades, releases, and performance tuning.
  • Contribute to documentation and adherence to coding best practices.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience: 2-4 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Core Skills: ITSM configuration, JavaScript scripting, Glide API, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
  • Integration Experience: REST/SOAP APIs and related authentication mechanisms.
  • Security: Experience with ACLs, roles, and platform security.
  • Notifications: Proficiency in creating and managing triggers and templates.
  • Modules Exposure: Working knowledge of CMDB or CSM modules.
  • Platform Understanding: Awareness of ServiceNow architecture, data model, and update set migration.
  • Certifications: ServiceNow CSA preferred (CIS–ITSM is a plus).
