Job Summary
The Yield Analytics Engineer defines roadmaps for technology transfer, establishes module procedures, and extracts insights from data using statistics and machine learning. This role involves sustaining and improving quality, driving low yield analysis, and implementing continuous improvement programs to prevent quality excursions in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Regular onsite presence is required.
Must Have
- Define roadmaps for incoming technology transfer.
- Establish flow, procedures, and equipment configuration for the module.
- Extract insights from structured and unstructured data using statistics and machine learning.
- Apply coding techniques (SQL, Perl, JSL, Python) for data extraction and analysis.
- Own sustaining and continuous improvement of quality and integrated defect/parametric measurements.
- Drive low yield analysis and yield improvement activities.
- Ensure continuous improvement programs to prevent quality, line yield, and sort yield excursions.
- Perform quality and reliability risk assessments.
- Bachelor's or MS in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information System, Chemistry/Physics.
- At least 5 years of Assembly and Test or semiconductor processing experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in teamwork, leadership, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving.

- Demonstrates effective problem solving and data script writing.
- Technical expert who is results and process/systems oriented, with critical thinking skills.
- Experience with Model-based problem solving and data analytics to solve integrated Yield issues.
- In-depth knowledge of assembly data from process and metrology tools and experience extracting/analyzing this data.
- Experience with Yield prediction methodologies and understanding design for yield principles.

- This role requires regular onsite presence to fulfill essential job responsibilities.
- Defines roadmaps to meet requirements, goals and milestones for incoming technology transfer.
- Defines and establishes flow, procedures, and equipment configuration for the module.
- Extracts insights from structured and unstructured data by quickly synthesizing large volumes of data, and applying statistics and machine learning, and may using coding techniques (e.g. SQL, python, etc.) primarily, but could also include programming languages.
- Owns sustaining and continuous improvement of quality and integrated defect and parametric measurements in startup and high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Drives low yield analysis and yield improvement activities with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensures continuous improvement programs are in place to prevent quality, line yield, and sort yield excursions. Performs quality and reliability risk assessments for potentially discrepant manufacturing material as well as for process changes.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor, or MS in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information System or Chemistry/Physics and at least 5 years of Assembly and Test or semiconductor processing experience.
- Experience with writing scripts for data extraction and analysis (SQL, Perl, JSL, python, etc.).
- Self motivated and self directed to learn and find sources of knowledge and information required to perform work.
- Must have demonstrated track-record of proficiency in working in a high-performing team culture which includes excellent teamwork and leadership skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated problem solving and the ability to prioritize work in an ambiguous environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidate demonstrates effective problem solving first and data script writing second.
- Must be seen as a technical expert who is results and process/systems oriented, has proven ability for critical thinking and second order questions that lead to impactful solutions.
