Job Summary

Job Description

Memory components engineer role involves critical responsibilities related to memory solution alignment for chipset projects, performance analysis and debug support, database management. You will research state-of-the-art memory technologies, collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors, ensure proper testing and qualification, analyze performance and power data, debug memory issues, and maintain vendor roadmaps and technical documents.
Must have:
  • Deep understanding of DRAM and Flash memory technologies (LPDDR4/5/6, HBM3/4, DDR5/6, UFS, SSD, eMMC).
  • Good understanding of Chipset memory architecture and standards (JEDEC, MIPI, PCIe).
  • Experience in researching state-of-the-art memory technologies and pathfinding solutions.
  • Ability to work with memory suppliers for testing, qualification, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in collating and analyzing performance and power data.
  • Experience in moderating and resolving memory-related debug sessions.
  • Ability to analyze electrical, functional, and compliance test data.
  • Skills in maintaining vendor roadmaps, technical, and compliance documents.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Industry experience in a technology company.
  • Proficient knowledge of memory component technology, packaging, and standards.
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • 2+ years of work experience in memory chip design and/or Memory Components engineering.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams deciphering memory requirements.
  • Experience working with 3rd party vendors and enabling solutions for internal designs.
  • Ability to dynamically prioritize work on a daily/weekly basis.

General Summary:

Memory components engineer role involves critical responsibilities related to memory solution alignment for chipset projects, performance analysis and debug support, database management.

  • Memory Component Expertise:
  • Deep understanding of DRAM and Flash memory technologies, including LPDDR4/5/6, HBM3/4, DDR5/6, modules, UFS, SSD, eMMC
  • Good understanding of Chipset memory architecture, standards specifications such as JEDEC, MIPI, PCIe etc
  • Knowledge of memory industry trends and market data
  • You’ll be responsible for researching state-of-the-art memory technologies, vendor offerings, close collaboration with cross functional teams, and pathfinding memory platform solutions to impact future mobile, auto, compute, XR, IOT and AI projects.
  • Collaboration with vendors to develop new memory packages
  • Performance Analysis and Debug:
  • You will work with memory suppliers to ensure proper testing is performed, qualification and compliances are complete per Industry standard and Qualcomm mini spec
  • Collate performance and power data from vendors products for internal analysis
  • Responsible for moderating debug sessions on memory related issues with vendors and resolving with appropriate urgency
  • Analyze electrical, functional and compliance test data to drive into production SOC and system solution decisions.
  • Database management -
  • Maintain latest vendor roadmaps, technical and compliance documents
  • Optimize Central memory database per user feedback
  • Communication Skills:
  • Excellent oral and written communication is crucial for collaborating with cross-functional teams

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Minimum requirements –

  • B.S in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering
  • 5+ years of Industry experience in a technology company
  • Proficient knowledge of memory component technology, packaging, and standards
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills.

Preferred requirements –

  • M.S in Engineering
  • 2+ years of work experience in memory chip design and/or Memory Components engineering
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams deciphering memory requirements, working with 3rd party vendors, and enabling solutions for internal designs
  • Ability to dynamically prioritize work on a daily/weekly basis
