Xsolla is seeking a Game Development and Business Mentor for its Education Team to oversee all mentoring activities, pipelines, and workflows within their Accelerators, Incubators, and Academy programs. Responsibilities include organizing and managing weekly meetings, monitoring team progress, curating course materials, and occasional travel for in-person events. The mentor will serve as the primary contact for incubated/accelerated teams, guiding them and evaluating their progress. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in producing and launching video games, understanding the business cycle from conception to post-launch support and marketing. This role involves creating detailed reports and adapting mentoring techniques to meet partner needs.
Must have:
- Proven track record of working on multiple launched game projects.
- Deep understanding of game business cycle.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Enjoys working closely with founders and teams.
- Ability to learn, understand, and adapt quickly.
- Proactive and autonomous working style.
Good to have:
- Multilingual abilities.
- Producing and/or Project Management experience.
- Experience with Jira/Confluence/LMS.

We are looking for a Game Development and Business Mentor to join our Xsolla Education Team. This person will take ownership of all mentoring activities, pipeline, and workflows within our Xsolla Accelerators, Incubators and Academy programs. As a mentor you will be responsible for organizing and managing weekly meetings with the participating teams, monitor and track their progress, curate course materials based on existing education materials, and occasionally travel to in-person events related to the various global programs.
You will be the first point of contact for the incubated/accelerated teams, and the link between them and the rest of the Education team. You will support the teams in their journey, guide them through our educational materials, evaluate their progress and identify any additional support they may require. When requested by any partners, you will also be responsible to create detailed reporting and evaluation of the teams’ progress through the program. As our cohort are teams who are currently working on indie or AA projects, planning to self-publish or pursuing external investments/publishing, our ideal Mentor will have extensive experience in the daily business of producing and launching video games.
Responsibilities
- Mentor incubated/accelerated teams.
- Take detailed notes and create reports on team progress.
- Identify and solve problems or needs of the teams.
- Review educational materials and update Program Director on any recommended changes or addition.
- Keep in mind specific needs of partners for some of the programs, and adapt mentoring techniques accordingly.
- Autonomous worker who can manage own calendar, schedule and update relevant Jira tickets and documentation.
- Attend in-person events when necessary/relevant.
- Willingness to travel for business purposes as needed.
Requirements
- Proven track record of working on multiple launched game projects.
- Deep understanding of game business cycle, from conception, to community building, to post-launch support and marketing strategy.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; fluency in additional languages are a plus.
- Enjoys working closely with founders and teams.
- Ability to learn, understand and adapt quickly to new changes.
- Proactive and autonomous working style.
Preferred
- Multilingual; ability to read, write and speak fluently in multiple languages.
- Producing and/or Project Management experience.
- Experience with Jira/Confluence/LMS.
