Job Description
The Apple Silicon GPU Compiler Driver team is seeking engineers to design and develop Metal compilers and drivers. The role involves collaborating with engineers across Apple to design future generations of the Metal shading language, API, and GPU hardware used for 3D rendering, machine learning, spatial computing, and computational photography. Responsibilities include implementing high-performance software for Apple-designed GPUs and guiding developers in optimizing Metal applications. The position requires expertise in computer graphics, general-purpose computing, or compilers. The base pay range is between $143,100 and $264,200, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

The Apple Silicon GPU Compiler Driver team needs engineers to design and develop production quality Metal compilers and drivers for present and future products. We collaborate with engineers across Apple to design future generations of the Metal shading language, API and GPU hardware used for 3D rendering, machine learning, spatial computing, and computational photography. You will apply your knowledge of computer graphics, general-purpose computing, or compilers to implement high performance software that drives Apple-designed GPUs. You will build expert-level Metal knowledge to guide developers in tuning their next generation Metal applications for maximum performance on Apple products.
