Job Description

This QA Engineer role at Xplor Active involves developing all-in-one management software for gyms and fitness clubs in Europe. The engineer will ensure new features function correctly through manual testing, and by designing, developing, and executing automated scripts. They will accelerate bug resolution using their expertise and contribute to improving automated test solutions. Working in an agile environment, the role involves testing at all development stages to maintain quality standards and automate critical tests, collaborating closely with development and product teams.
Must Have:
  • Participate in the evolution of the continuous improvement process.
  • Manually test new changes if necessary. Ensure non-regression and prioritize topics according to the roadmap and criticality.
  • Report problems encountered during the different testing phases and track them on Jira. Document different bugs to increase test coverage.
  • Depending on specific requirements, write automated test cases; track software defects and regression for identified software versions.
  • Analyze and understand the product's environment, architecture, and interdependencies to determine and apply appropriate methodologies and test cases for the applications being tested.
  • Work closely with the development team, product team, and other stakeholders to have the most effective common guideline possible.

Job Description

You will join Xplor Active as a QA Engineer, within the team that develops an all-in-one management software for gyms and fitness clubs in Europe. Intuitive and flexible, with fully integrated payment and access control, Xplor Active offers member insights, class booking, an online store, and other features specially designed according to our customers' needs. It is designed to free them from technical constraints, allowing them to focus fully on their business.

The QA Engineer ensures the monitoring of new features, as well as their proper functioning. To do this, they perform manual testing and design, develop, and execute reusable automated scripts. They leverage their expertise and understanding of problems that may arise on the application to accelerate bug resolution. As part of automated tests, they participate in the research and implementation of solutions to add, modify, or improve existing automated scripts.

You will work with a passionate software development team in an agile environment, performing tests at all stages of software development to ensure quality standards, while ensuring the automation of critical tests. You will have visibility over the entire development chain, and the possibility to intervene on the steps that seem most important and critical to you (from ideation to production).

You will collaborate closely with the rest of the quality assurance team, the development team, and product managers to ensure the best possible quality of delivered software, on time.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Experience in mobile application testing, including functional and non-functional testing, user interface testing, and compatibility testing.
  • Experience with different mobile operating systems (Android and iOS platforms).
  • Understanding of the different types of tests the QA department will face: functional, integration, regression, user acceptance, and release management tests.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
  • Understanding of GitHub, Azure, or other repositories.
  • Experience with automated mobile testing frameworks and tools such as Appium.
  • Strong understanding of web application testing and API testing (ideally using Postman).
  • Excellent communication, desire to grow, and integrate into a dynamic team.
