Job Description

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract role for a National Apprenticeship Officer within the Education, Learning and Development team. The position is based on a hybrid working model (3 days in office, 2 days remote) in London, UK. The officer will promote and manage apprenticeship programmes, collaborate with internal and external partners, lead communication campaigns, and support key events. The role requires experience in apprenticeships/education and strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Must have:
  • Champion company apprenticeships internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Lead internal communication campaigns for apprenticeships.
  • Coordinate cohorted programmes (scheduling, resources, engagement).
  • Support National Apprenticeship Week and Celebration Ceremony.
  • Provide funding guidance and manage Apprenticeship Service queries.
  • Develop marketing assets (presentations, videos, case studies, playbooks).
  • Assist in writing award submissions and showcasing success.
  • Monitor programme performance and identify improvements.
  • Act as first point of contact for apprenticeship queries.
  • Experience in apprenticeships, education, or training programs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, collaborative, drives projects forward.
  • Creative problem solver, passionate about improvement.

Job Description

The UK & Ireland team is looking for a passionate and organised National Apprenticeship Officer to join our Education, Learning and Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in promoting and managing our award-winning apprenticeship programmes, helping to shape the future of talent across one of the most iconic brands in the world.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Champion McDonald’s Apprenticeships internally and externally, supporting our ambition to be an employer of choice.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners including training providers, universities, and Franchisees.
  • Lead internal communication campaigns to promote apprenticeship opportunities across the business.
  • Coordinate cohorted programmes, including scheduling, resource planning, and learner engagement.
  • Support the planning and delivery of National Apprenticeship Week and the annual Apprenticeship Celebration Ceremony.
  • Provide guidance on funding and manage queries via The Apprenticeship Service.
  • Develop marketing assets such as presentations, videos, case studies, and playbooks.
  • Assist in writing award submissions and showcasing success stories.
  • Monitor programme performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Act as the first point of contact for apprenticeship-related queries and escalations.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience working within apprenticeships, education, or training programmes.
  • Background in hospitality or a customer focused industry (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and ability to drive projects forward.
  • Creative problem solver with a passion for continuous improvement.
