Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with extensive experience in dynamic routing protocols, network troubleshooting, and automation, particularly in Cisco and Arista environments, to join our team and solve complex networking issues.

Must Have

• Design, implement, and support BGP and OSPF dynamic routing protocols.
• Configure and troubleshoot NAT/PAT, IPSec VPNs.
• Manage and troubleshoot multivendor network devices, primarily Cisco and Arista.
• Conduct packet analysis and troubleshooting using Wireshark, focusing on TCP/IP issues.
• Configure and troubleshoot multicast routing protocols, such as IGMP.
• Develop and implement network automation scripts using Ansible or Python.
• Maintain and support Layer 2 protocols including HSRP, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and Quality of Service (QoS).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve network problems efficiently.
• Document network configurations, policies, and procedures.
• 5 to 7 years of experience as a Network Engineer with proven expertise in networking and troubleshooting.
• Extensive hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, and multicast routing (IGMP).
• Strong knowledge of NAT/PAT, IPSec VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience working in multivendor environments (Cisco, Arista).
• Proficiency with Wireshark for packet captures and troubleshooting TCP/IP issues.
• Automation skills utilizing Ansible, Python, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of Layer 2 protocols: HSRP, STP, QoS.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Good to Have

• Relevant Cisco or Arista certifications (CCNP, CCIE, Arista Cloud Engineering, etc.).
• Knowledge of SD-WAN and other advanced network technologies.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in dynamic routing protocols, network troubleshooting, and automation, with a strong background in Cisco and Arista environments. Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Montreal is CAD $80k – CAD $85k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role
