Job Summary

Western Digital is a global technology company focused on data storage innovation. They are seeking a motivated New College Graduate (NCG) to join their Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) team, focusing on digital transformation. This role involves applying engineering fundamentals, quality systems, and digital tools to enhance supplier quality management processes. The candidate will analyze and visualize supplier quality data, develop digital dashboards and automated reports, and participate in promoting digital adoption and continuous improvement with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

Must Have

  • Join the Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) team with a focus on digital transformation
  • Apply engineering fundamentals, quality system and Digital tools to transform supplier quality management processes
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to improve quality performance, drive automation, support the Industry 4.0 journey, and predict quality
  • Collect, analyze, and visualize supplier quality data using digital tools (Power BI, SQL, or equivalent)
  • Assist in developing and maintaining digital dashboards, automated reports, and data-driven decision-making tools for SQE, including digital transformation projects
  • Participate in supplier workshops and training to promote digital adoption and continuous improvement
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science/engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Knowledge in Automated Workforce project and digital transformation
  • Good knowledge and skills in machine learning and deep learning
  • Strong skills in Data analysis and visualization (Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, or Python)
  • Basic programming in web development or automation knowledge (Python, PLC, or data collection)
  • Good English communication skills, verbal and written

Good to Have

  • Internship in manufacturing, process improvement or digital transformation
  • Exposure to Six Sigma tools
