Job Description

Tesla Engineering Germany GmbH seeks an NPI Engineering Technician to perform complex electro-mechanical assembly, support build processes, conduct component reworks (turning/milling), create documentation, update production records, maintain pilot lines, and troubleshoot equipment/processes. The role requires collaboration with engineers and operations to ensure quality and efficiency in manufacturing practices. Candidates should possess 3+ years of hands-on assembly experience, technical training in mechanics/mechatronics, and proficiency in operating production machinery using GUIs or programming languages. Experience with power electronics NPI and/or mass production is a plus.

Must have:

3+ years assembly experience
Technical training (mechanic/mechatronics)
Electro-mechanical assembly skills
Production machinery operation
Documentation creation & interpretation
Excellent English communication

Good to have:

Power electronics NPI experience
Mass production experience
G-code/pseudo-code proficiency

What You’ll Do

Perform complex and precise electro-mechanical assembly work while maintaining a clean and orderly work area

Support build processes, perform reworks on components (turning/milling), and prepare documentation for Design and Manufacturing Engineers

Ability to read, interpret, and create documentation and drawings, and to give and follow precise verbal and written instruction

Responsible for updating production records to ensure accurate tracking of processes

Maintain NPI Pilot Lines to keep current with changes in product design and manufacturing process

Troubleshooting equipment and processes by collaborating with engineering, quality and operations

What You’ll Bring

Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in assembly for new products

Completed technical training as a mechanic engineer, mechatronics engineer or similar

Good understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems

Proficiency in operating production machinery either through graphical user interfaces (GUIs) or by using programming languages (e.g., G-codes, pseudo-code)
