Job Summary

This apprenticeship as a Chemical Laboratory Technician offers hands-on experience in Sika's R&D adhesive laboratory. You will rotate through various departments including dispersions, hot melt adhesives, polyurethane systems, rubber-based adhesives, analytics, quality assurance, technical service, production, and purchasing. Apprentices actively participate in development projects. The program typically lasts 3.5 years, with potential for shortening. Ideal candidates have a secondary school diploma, an interest in science, and good English and MS Office skills.

Must Have

  • Intermediate school leaving certificate, technical college entrance qualification or general university entrance qualification
  • Initial know-how in handling MS Office
  • Good English in spoken and written word
  • Great interest in scientific topics
  • Pronounced logical and analytical thinking skills
  • Reliability and the ability to work concentrated

Good to Have

  • Ideally basic knowledge of chemical law

If you are interested in working in a scientific environment and are interested in technical-physical relationships, you are exactly right with us. During your apprenticeship, you will go through all departments in our adhesive laboratory of our own Research & Development (R&D) department. You will get to know the areas of dispersions, hot melt adhesives, two-component polyurethane systems and rubber-based adhesives as well as analytics and go through our areas of quality assurance, technical service, production and purchasing. With us, you will actively participate in development projects during your apprenticeship and can proactively contribute your ideas. The duration of the apprenticeship is usually 3.5 years; a shortening of the apprenticeship may be possible.
