Job Summary
ByteDance's Pico division seeks an NPU FW Engineer/Architect in San Jose. Responsibilities include mapping ML algorithms to NPU hardware, profiling models for performance and power efficiency, implementing ML operators using low-level instructions, collaborating with the SOC prototype team on new NPU architecture, and exploring advanced ML acceleration technologies. The ideal candidate possesses a MS/PhD in EE/CS, proficiency in C/C++ and Python, and 3+ years of experience in ML framework development or ML acceleration on edge devices. Experience with deep learning algorithms and NPU compiler toolchains is preferred.
Must Have
- Map ML algorithms to NPU hardware

Job Description
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $194000 - $410000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
