Pomelo Care is a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to improving care for mothers and babies through an evidence-based, technology-driven platform. As an Onsite IT Support Engineer, you will be an early hire, shaping a world-class IT program. Your role involves creating an intuitive technology environment, providing essential onsite support in NYC, collaborating with the IT team to streamline processes, defining and meeting support SLAs, and implementing robust security policies across various third-party vendors like Okta, Slack, and Google Workspace to safeguard patient data. This position is crucial for a rapidly scaling, high-growth startup.

  • Experience administering Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom.
  • Experience managing and supporting Macs and macOS.
  • Knowledge of MDM tools.
  • Experience automating repetitive tasks.

What you'll do

As an early hire on a growing IT team, you will have the chance to help shape a world-class IT program at a rapidly scaling, high-growth startup. Specifically you will,

  • Create an intuitive and user-friendly technology environment for your fellow Pomelos!
  • Provide onsite support in our NYC office at least twice a week (or as needed)
  • Partner with fellow IT team members to document, improve and automate IT processes
  • Define and meet support SLAs
  • Implement security policies across Okta, Slack, Google Workspace and other third-party vendors to keep our patients' data safe.

What you bring

  • 5+ years of experience in an IT support/operations role
  • High-level customer service orientation with a focus on end-user experience
  • Success both when working independently and within a team
  • Comfortable working directly with executives and other senior members of leadership
  • Experience supporting audio/video/telephony equipment in an office setting
  • Experience managing office networking equipment and services including Wi-Fi access points, network switches and cabling
  • Familiarity with office security configurations such as door access systems and security cameras
  • Experience managing a physical hardware inventory
  • Strong communication skills and ability to understand/empathize with users
  • Experience administering Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom
  • Experience managing and supporting Macs and macOS
  • Knowledge and experience with MDM tools
  • Experience automating repetitive tasks

In accordance with New York City, Colorado, California, and other applicable laws, Pomelo Care is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity. Given that this role is open to candidates of different skill levels, determining a salary range is challenging. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $85,000 to $100,000. We expect most candidates to fall in the middle of the range. We also believe that your personal needs and preferences should be taken into consideration, so we allow some choice between equity and cash.
