Job Description

The Operations Coordinator will actively participate in the Sika SAFE Program, review production schedules, estimate worker requirements, analyze production needs, and generate purchase orders. They will place orders, manage vendor interactions, generate production schedules, and maintain inventory levels. The coordinator will also interact with production leads, expedite operations, and maintain production records. They must develop effective working relationships and demonstrate strong communication and data entry skills. Responsibilities include order management, scheduling, inventory control, and record keeping.
Must have:
  • High School Diploma required
  • Data entry skills – high volume and a high degree of accuracy
  • PC proficiency including spreadsheet creation and maintenance
  • SAP proficiency a must
  • Self-motivated and able to establish and maintain effective working relations
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Must be able to maintain an excellent attendance records

Job Details

Sika is looking for an experienced Operations Coordinator to join it’s growing team. 

  • Actively participate in the plants Sika SAFE Program. 
  • Review production schedules and estimate worker requirements to complete production assignment 
  • Analyzes production requirements and generates purchase orders for items. 
  • Places purchase orders and follows up to ensure timely delivery of items purchased. 
  • Interacts with vendors and the Purchasing Manager as needed. 
  • Generates production schedule establishing sequences and lead time for each operation to meet shipping dates according to customer orders. 
  • Plans and schedules workflow for department and operations according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times. 
  • Maintains MIN/MAX levels for designated items and adjust levels as required. 
  • Interacts with Production lead to determine status of assigned projects. 
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. 
  • Prepare and maintain required production records, reports and files including daily production log, labor summaries, batch profiles, deviations from standards, cycle counts, etc. 
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers and co-workers. 

Preferred Skills

  • High School Diploma required.

  • Must be able to maintain an excellent attendance records.
