Job Description

Proofpoint is seeking a motivated Partner Account Manager for its MSP Division to drive global expansion, specifically in Massachusetts. This role involves building and managing a network of Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and distributors in the USA, focusing on prospecting, acquiring new clients, and managing existing accounts. Key responsibilities include onboarding new partners, delivering training, implementing the MSP partner program, executing partner business plans, representing Proofpoint at industry events, developing accurate forecasts, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve sales targets and ensure customer success.
Must Have:
  • Identify, develop, and continuously manage a network of MSP partners and distributors in the USA.
  • Support the onboarding of new partners and foster long-term, successful relationships.
  • Organize and deliver training for sales partners and promote the MSP partner program.
  • Drive the creation and execution of partner business plans.
  • Represent Proofpoint at industry events, fairs, and partner forums.
  • Develop accurate forecasts and define clear actions to achieve sales targets in Massachusetts.
  • Collaborate internally with Sales, Marketing, and other teams.
  • Strong IT knowledge (IT security, SaaS, or cloud services).
  • Minimum five years’ professional experience in IT, with expertise in complex IT solutions and business processes.
  • Direct experience in partner account management or channel sales with MSPs.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and growing sales partners and distributors in Massachusetts.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly.

Partner Account Manager – MSP Division

To accelerate our global expansion, we are looking for a motivated Partner Account Manager for the MSP Division at Proofpoint and its global affiliates.

As a key member of our MSP-focused sales team, your primary responsibility will be driving growth through Managed Service Providers (MSPs) in Massachusetts. You’ll be responsible for building up the partner network through prospecting, acquiring new clients, managing existing accounts, and playing a vital role in driving revenue growth and customer success.

*Candidate must reside in Massachusetts and have experience selling to MSPs.*

Your Job

  • Identify, develop, and continuously manage a network of MSP partners and distributors in the USA.
  • Support the onboarding of new partners and foster long-term, successful relationships.
  • Organize and deliver training for our sales partners, while implementing and promoting the MSP partner program.
  • Drive the creation and execution of partner business plans, ensuring the ongoing growth and success of MSP relationships.
  • Represent Proofpoint and its global affiliates at industry events, fairs, and partner forums by presenting our solutions with impact.
  • Develop accurate forecasts and define clear actions to achieve sales targets in Massachusetts.
  • Collaborate internally with Sales, Marketing, and other teams to deliver on business goals, while serving as a trusted point of contact externally for partners.

Your Profile

  • Strong IT knowledge gained through education, academic study, or equivalent experience—ideally within IT security, SaaS, or cloud services.
  • Minimum of five years’ professional experience in IT, with expertise in complex IT solutions and business processes. Direct experience in partner account management or channel sales with MSPs is required.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and growing sales partners and distributors in Massachusetts with measurable business impact.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with partners, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and represent Proofpoint and its global affiliates with professionalism in presentations, partner meetings, and negotiations.
  • A collaborative team player with an international mindset, strong organizational skills, and the ability to set priorities in line with business goals.
  • Motivated by success, with a passion for achieving quarterly targets and driving partner-led growth.
