This summer 2025 internship with Illumination's Partnerships Marketing team offers a chance to contribute to the marketing strategies behind blockbuster animated films. Responsibilities include researching partnership opportunities, organizing assets for meetings, collaborating on creative assets, maintaining contact lists, participating in brainstorming sessions, and conducting market research. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, passionate about marketing trends, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The intern will work closely with innovative leaders and teams, gaining valuable experience in the entertainment industry. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Keynote. Familiarity with digital media and entertainment marketing is a plus.

Illumination is seeking a motivated and creative Intern to work with the Partnerships Marketing team with various aspects of developing and executing innovative partnership and promotional strategies. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, passionate about emerging trends in marketing, and eager to contribute to a high-paced, creative environment.
 

Responsibilities:

    • Support the Partnerships Marketing team in researching and identifying new partnership opportunities, exploring emerging trends in industries like music, gaming, fashion, and digital platforms.
    • Help organize assets, data, and presentations for filmmaker and partner meetings, ensuring all information is easily accessible.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative assets for promotional materials and presentations.
    • Help maintain and update lists of potential brands, agencies, and media contacts for partnership outreach.
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions and assist with creative ideation for new marketing and promotional strategies.
    • Research current market trends and competitor campaigns to provide insights and recommendations to the team.

Qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
    • Strong interest in brand marketing, partnerships, promotions and content, with a focus on entertainment, digital media, and emerging trends.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take initiative when necessary.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Keynote.
    • Familiarity with digital media, social platforms, and entertainment marketing is a plus.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment with a strong sense of urgency and ownership of tasks.
The salary for this position is $17.28/hour.
