Job Description

The People Partner will be a key member of the People Team, supporting internal business and employees across various HR functions. This includes onboarding, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, and Employee Relations. The role involves defining support models, building stakeholder relationships, collaborating with the German works council, providing guidance on compensation and benefits, supporting performance management, and ensuring ethics and compliance.
Must have:
  • Define and implement effective support models for managers and employees.
  • Establish and maintain trustworthy relationships with stakeholders.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the German works council on local HR topics.
  • Provide guidance on compensation and benefits.
  • Support Learning & Development, including training plans and facilitation.
  • Assist with performance management cases and Talent Reviews.
  • Support Ethics & Compliance investigations and Labour Relations.
  • Represent Aptiv in labour court with legal team support.
  • Support site management (ASA, events, employee surveys).
  • Act as contact for internal and external partners (e.g., Trade Supervisory Office).
  • Facilitate audits, provide HR process information, and implement corrections.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HR Generalist or HR Operations.
  • Practical knowledge of German Labour Law.
  • Practical experience in all phases of the HR lifecycle.
  • Fluency in English (C1 level).

Job Details

As People Partner, you will play a key role within our People Team supporting our internal business and employees working across many areas of HR including onboarding, Learning & Development, Total Rewards and Employee Relations to name just a few.

Your role:

  • Define and implement the most effective support model for line managers and employees
  • Establish and maintain trustworthy relationships with various different stakeholders within and outside of primary geography
  • Onboarding and Offboarding Process
  • Close collaboration with German works council in all local HR topics
  • Provide guidance an compensation and benefits, supported by total rewards team
  • Learning & Development (providing trainings, set up training plans and help with facilitating trainings)
  • Support performance management cases (PIP), Talent Reviews
  • Support Ethics & Compliance investigations and Labour Relation in cooperation with HRD Germany
  • Represent Aptiv in front of labour court with support of legal team
  • Support of site management (ASA, organization of events, review Your Say at site level or similar)
  • Contact person for internal and external partners (e.g. . Trade Supervisory Office)
  • Facilitate audits by providing information about HR processes and implementing necessary corrections from findings

Your Background:

  • Experience in HR Generalist, HR Operations positions or similar – at least 2 years
  • University Degree in Human Resources, Social Psychology or related field
  • Practical knowledge of German Labour Law
  • Practical experience in all phases in HR lifecycle
  • Practical knowledge of general labour law related matters in different geographies and continents as well as cultural differences
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with various different stakeholders within and outside of primary geography
  • Patient listener showing empathy to all colleagues who bring feedback and a need to be listened
  • Creative approach to problem solving
  • Exceptional Communication skills and ability to facilitate conflict
  • Strong people and business focus, understanding company’s business model and direction
  • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Fluency in English – C1 level in speech and writing
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in a dynamically changing environment
