Job Description

As a Principal CAD Engineer in Marvell Central Engineering, you will be a key member developing next-generation automated design flows and add-on tools. This role involves designing, building, and training machine learning models using AI/ML frameworks, developing regression, clustering, and deep learning tasks, and implementing training pipelines. You will also conduct hyperparameter tuning, model evaluation, and performance optimization to solve ASIC design problems.
Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 10-15 years of related professional experience or Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 5-10 years of experience
  • Hands-on experience on LLMs, transformer architectures, or multimodal models
  • Programming Proficiency: Python; R, familiarity with C++
  • ML Frameworks: Experience in TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or JAX
  • Data Handling: Experience with data preprocessing, augmentation, and feature engineering
  • Modeling Techniques: Knowledge of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning
  • Optimization: Skills in hyperparameter tuning, model pruning, and performance benchmarking
  • Infrastructure: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), GPU/TPU acceleration

As a key CAD member of Marvell Central Engineering, you will play a leading role on developing next-generation automated design flow and its add-on tools. You will have the opportunity to use your extensive design and CAD knowledge to participate in defining the whole organization's design infrastructure, methodology and workflows.

What You Can Expect

  • Design, build, and train machine learning models using AI/ML frameworks
  • Develop regression, clustering, and deep learning tasks
  • Implement and manage training pipelines, including data preprocessing, augmentation, and batching
  • Conduct hyperparameter tuning, model evaluation, and performance optimization
  • Solve ASIC design problems through development of training models and AI/ML framework

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 10-15 years of related professional experience or Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 5-10 years of experience or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a formal degree
  • Hands-on experience on LLMs, transformer architectures, or multimodal models
  • Programming Proficiency: Python; R, familiarity with C++
  • ML Frameworks: Experience in TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or JAX
  • Data Handling: Experience with data preprocessing, augmentation, and feature engineering
  • Modeling Techniques: Knowledge of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning
  • Optimization: Skills in hyperparameter tuning, model pruning, and performance benchmarking
  • Infrastructure: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), GPU/TPU acceleration
  • Demonstrate good analysis and problem-solving skills. Out-of-the-box thinking
  • Team player with good verbal and written communication skills

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

146,850 - 220,000, $ per annum

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
