This role involves being a key part of an energetic engineering team focused on Autodesk's Enterprise Data Platform. The Principal Engineer will design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient components for the platform, enriching data as per business needs. They will provide advisory services for sales strategies and build self-service platforms using innovative big data technologies, contributing to a culture of quality and innovation.
Must have:
  • Design and develop end-to-end Enterprise data Platform components.
  • Ensure the Enterprise data Platform is efficient, robust, and scalable.
  • Contribute to a team culture valuing quality, robustness, scalability, and innovation.
  • BS or MS in computer science or related field with 8+ years of experience.
  • 6+ years hands-on experience designing and building ETL/ELT solutions in cloud.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in AWS technologies.
  • Experience in Dbt (data build tool) and Snowflake for data transformation.
  • Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation and orchestration.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling principles.
  • Experience with relational DB.
Good to have:
  • Experience with Dbt.

  • Experience with Kanban methodology.

Position Overview

In this role, you will be part of a highly energetic team of engineers working on Autodesk Enterprise Data Platform to assemble, enrich and enhance the data as per the business needs. You would be part of the team working on providing advisory services and support to business in deriving sales strategies. you will be working to build robust and scalable self-service platform for Autodesk while using innovative technologies in big data space.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop components of end to end Enterprise data Platform
  • Work with the team to make the Enterprise data Platform an efficient, robust and scalable platform
  • Enthusiastic and passionate member of a highly skilled and motivated agile development team
  • Contribute to a team culture that values quality, robustness, and scalability while fostering initiatives and innovation

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS in computer science or a related field with 8+ years of experience
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience designing and building ETL/ELT solutions in cloud environments
  • Strong knowledge and experience in AWS technologies
  • Experience in Dbt (data build tool) and Snowflake for data transformation and pipeline orchestration
  • Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation, automation, and orchestration
  • Solid understanding of data modeling principles and Familiarity with machine learning concepts
  • Experience with relational DB
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to learn new technical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Dbt
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with SQL (Snowflake)
  • Experience with Kanban methodology
