As a Principal Instructional Content Design Manager within the Content Strategy & Experience team, you will lead the creation of rich, multi-format content that helps customers understand, adopt, and succeed with our solutions. This strategic hands-on role blends instructional design, UX thinking, and information architecture to support both scalable documentation and intuitive support experiences. You will shape the content design strategy for Customer Technical Success (CTS), delivering clear, accessible guidance through user guides, structured collections, videos, interactive help, and web-based experiences. You'll also set standards, enable content contributors through scalable frameworks, mentor peers, and help elevate the craft of content design across CTS.

Position Overview

As a Principal Instructional Content Design Manager within the Content Strategy & Experience team, you will lead the creation of rich, multi-format content that helps customers understand, adopt, and succeed with our solutions. This strategic hands-on role blends instructional design, UX thinking, and information architecture to support both scalable documentation and intuitive support experiences.

You will shape the content design strategy for Customer Technical Success (CTS), delivering clear, accessible guidance through user guides, structured collections, videos, interactive help, and web-based experiences. You'll also set standards, enable content contributors through scalable frameworks, mentor peers, and help elevate the craft of content design across CTS.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the content design strategy for CTS, ensuring customers receive clear, actionable guidance across multiple touchpoints
  • Design and deliver high-impact content in rich formats—user guides, structured collections, video tutorials, interactive help, and web-based experiences
  • Create scalable frameworks, templates, and guidelines to support content contributors across CTS in producing consistent, high-quality content
  • Apply principles of instructional design, UX, and information architecture to improve clarity, usability, and discoverability of support content
  • Use customer insights, behavioral data, and performance metrics to continuously measure and improve the content experience
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across content, support, UX, and technology teams to align content experiences with customer journeys and product workflows
  • Stay up to date on trends in content design, instructional methods, UX, and emerging technologies; apply relevant insights to evolve content practices, drive innovation, and support continuous improvement across the team

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in content design, instructional design, UX writing, or technical content development, with a strong portfolio of multi-format content (e.g., step-by-step guides, videos, structured collections, content-driven web pages)
  • Deep expertise in content architecture, taxonomy, metadata, and scalable content models that support modularity, reuse, and consistency
