Job Summary
In this pre-sales engineering role, you will work with and inspire our strategic Automotive customers helping them realize their full potential. Partnering closely with the Sales Executive and our Enterprise Customer organization, you will focus on increasing expansion and building long-term partnerships by gaining a clear understanding of our customer’s business challenges and translating these into a Technical Vision and Solution Concept that will deliver tangible results. You will manage the technical discovery, provide direction and guidance in creating requirements definitions, and maintain comprehensive knowledge of processes and technology trends within the Automotive industry.
Must Have
- Build and nurture strategic technical relationships that are long-term, impacting customers’ business and materialized in a shared Technical Vision
- Manage the technical discovery to help uncover business initiatives and use this information to help connect with Autodesk solutions to deliver business value via a Technical Proposal
- Provide direction and guidance in creating requirements definitions, scope documents, user needs studies, process, and project assessments for sales opportunities to help make business cases and drive ROI
- Provide insight and guidance to Customers by maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of processes and technology trends within the Automotive industry
- Develop and maintain trusted working relationships with the salesforce and adjacent business resources
- Share best practices, information, innovation, and thought leadership within the sales organization, product divisions, and technical sales organization locally and globally
- Degree, education or equivalent work experience in Automotive or Manufacturing
- 8 years experience in customer-facing roles
- Fluent English
- Outcome focused approach to solving customer challenges
- Experienced or interested in a sales-supporting function (e.g., presales)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building
- Enjoy working as a team player, who can manage multiple priorities
- Ability to travel up to 20% within the EMEA region

- Knowledge of the Autodesk solution portfolio (Automotive and AECO)
- Degree, education or equivalent work experience in Digital Factory, Real-Estate Management or Data and Platform solutions

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain trusted working relationships with the salesforce and adjacent business resources (Enterprise Customer Success, global technical sales, marketing, product teams)
- Share best practices, information, innovation, and thought leadership within the sales organization, product divisions, and technical sales organization locally and globally
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree, education or equivalent work experience in Automotive or Manufacturing and ideally Digital Factory, Real-Estate Management or Data and Platform solutions
- 8 years experience in customer-facing roles
- Fluent English, an additional European language would be a benefit
- Ideally knowledge of the Autodesk solution portfolio (Automotive and AECO – Architecture, Engineering, Construction & Operations)

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
