Process Engineer
Iztapalapa, CDMX (Onsite)
Position Summary
Thales is looking for a Process Engineer who will work closely to production and maintenance aiming to reach the best results in terms of quality and productivity, promoting a correct usage of our resources in terms of yield, process efficiency and stability.
In this position, you will also be responsible for supporting the production area on the processes assigned providing relevant technical information to reach the objectives proposed as well in the development of specific improvement projects related to production process, machines automation and vision system deployment.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Improve the recipe creation on card inspection machine according to Thales’s quality standards, considering time to create and recipe fine-tuning.
- Create documentation for automatic card inspection process.
- Implement specific KPI for the process to track the efficiency.
- Testing and acceptance of any new Card Body structure (included qualification report).
- Develop project of vision systems to automatize the production processes.
- Participate with other support areas like Maintenance, Quality or Production to facilitate the identification and resolution of problems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial, Production or Similar
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Fluency and a proficient level of business English.
- Knowledge in Vision systems.
- Knowledgeable in productive systems and methods of systems of continuous improvement, understanding of statistical process controls, cost reduction and manufacturing processes.
- Lean manufacturing tools and Lean Sigma Methodology
- Basic understanding of electricity, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic and control
