Job Description

As a Trade Compliance Manager on the Vélizy campus, you will ensure the compliance of Microwave Imaging System activities with all applicable export control regulations and restrictive measures. Your role involves supporting various functions from product design to shipment, analyzing regulatory constraints, managing license requests, and collaborating with national and international administrations. You will also be responsible for training personnel, validating documents, and participating in internal and external audits to maintain compliance.
Must Have:
  • Ensure compliance of activities with export control regulations and restrictive measures.
  • Support functions impacted by export control, from product design to shipment.
  • Analyze offers and activities to identify regulatory constraints, alert on risks, and propose compliant solutions.
  • Screen stakeholders based on current sanctions.
  • Manage license requests to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Collaborate with national and international administrations (DGA, SBDU, ANSSI, OFAC, BIS, DDTC, etc.) with TCO support.
  • Plan and conduct training and awareness actions for relevant personnel.
  • Validate export control documents before signing.
  • Ensure classification and archiving of documents in accordance with regulations.
  • Consolidate reports for authorities or external clients.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and monitor corrective actions.
  • Hold a Bac +5 level initial training.
  • Have a minimum of 4 years of multi-regulatory experience in Trade Compliance (Export Control) in Industry and/or Engineering sectors.
  • Be able to consult regulations and perform regulatory watch autonomously.
  • Be proficient in written and spoken English.

Under the hierarchical responsibility of the Thales AVS France Trade Compliance Officer, you ensure the compliance of Microwave Imaging System activities with all applicable export control regulations and restrictive measures in force.

As such, your main missions will be to:

  • Ensure compliance of activities with export control regulations and restrictive measures.
  • Support the various functions impacted by export control, from design to product shipment.
  • Analyze offers and activities to identify regulatory constraints, alert on risks, and propose compliant solutions.
  • Perform stakeholder screening based on current sanctions.
  • Manage license requests necessary to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Collaborate with national and international administrations (DGA, SBDU, ANSSI, OFAC, BIS, DDTC, etc.) with the support of the TCO.
  • Plan and conduct training and awareness actions for relevant personnel.
  • Validate export control documents before signing.
  • Ensure the classification and archiving of documents in accordance with regulations.
  • Consolidate reports intended for authorities or external clients.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and monitor the progress of corrective actions.
  • Travel to the different sites within the scope if necessary.
  • Take charge of transversal activities at the request of the TCO.
  • Rely on a network of correspondents within the sites and the company to carry out the missions.

Your Profile:

Coming from an initial Bac +5 level training, you have multi-regulatory experience and a minimum of 4 years of experience in the field of Trade Compliance (Export Control) in the Industry and/or Engineering sectors.

  • Are you able to consult regulations and perform regulatory watch autonomously?
  • Are you recognized for your ability to work in a team, your interpersonal skills, and your rigor? Are you proactive and possess a synthetic mind?
  • Does your English level allow you to be equally comfortable in writing and speaking?
