Job Description

We are seeking a Specialist - Transactional Services to join Guy Carpenter's Operations team in Gurugram. This hybrid role involves managing reinsurance contract documents, setting up risks, generating covering letters (EOC), creating premium transactions, and handling claims. The specialist will also submit documents to reinsurers, monitor agreements, follow up with clients, and address inquiries, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to regulations.
Good To Have:
  • Experience in interacting with international customers.
  • Excellent presentation and MS office power point skills (preferred).
  • Good understanding of Insurance/Reinsurance business/processes.
  • Good understanding of Risk & Financial regulatory bodies (preferred).
  • Experience in regulations that govern Insurance in our countries of operation (i.e. UK, US, Australia, Asia) (preferred).
Must Have:
  • Produce accurate client/Underwriter documentation associated with the respective processes within specified turnaround times.
  • Update knowledge of the core product principles and regulations to align with the continuous learning culture.
  • Ensure that all statutory and company regulations are followed while processing work.
  • Contribute to the development of a supported and flexible working environment.
  • Achieve individual performance measures and targets set within performance appraisal.
  • Understand and contribute to the achievement of individual and departmental Key Performance Indicators and Service Levels Agreements.
  • Work towards enhancing customer/client experience whilst adding value to the respective end-to-end business process.
  • Display professional communication skills at all levels within MMC and with external customers.
  • Maintain relevant record / logs / timesheet & hygiene of work as required by management and for MIS purposes.
  • Participate and attend any training programs or learning sessions as deemed necessary.
  • Constantly build technical expertise and business knowledge associated with the respective process.
  • Take ownership of work queues and ensure proper handover of work to team/line manager in case of absence.
  • Support, assist and provide guidance to less experienced colleagues as needed.
  • Participate and support manager in team meetings and activities to share opinions, ideas, knowledge and solutions.
  • Perform quality checks for less experienced colleagues as per standard guidelines as needed.
  • 3+ years of experience in Reinsurance broking in the operations area.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (mandatory).
  • Technical expertise (XOL, Facultative & Proportional Treaty business).
  • Logical Reasoning and prioritization skills.
  • Problem Solving and Analytical Skills.
  • Proficient with MS outlook & MS Excel.

Specialist– Transactional Services

We’re seeking a Specialist - Transactional Services who will be part of the reinsurance contract document. Setting up risk on system basis contract document/Broker Instruction sheets and generating covering letter (EOC) for the clients. Creating Premiums transactions & generate LPANs and closing instructions. Understanding/analysing the claims documents from the clients, setting up of claims on system, creating claims transactions & generating documents. Submission of documents to Reinsurers. Monitor the agreement, following up with clients and reinsurers. Handling enquiries from Reinsurers and clients

We will count on you to:

  • Produce accurate client/Underwriter documentation associated with the respective processes within specified turnaround times
