Marsh is seeking a Liability Claims Advocate to join their team, focusing on delivering exceptional service and advocating for clients in complex claims environments. This role involves managing and resolving large, intricate claims, preparing coverage arguments, negotiating with insurers, and collaborating with internal teams to develop risk management solutions. The advocate will identify appropriate policies and coverages, analyze claims data, and contribute to reducing clients' total cost of risk.

Must Have:
  • Manage and resolve clients’ largest and most complex claims to conclusion
  • Prepare coverage arguments and negotiate with insurers and/or consultants
  • Identify appropriate policies and coverages
  • Sell claims services and solutions to clients by articulating the value proposition
  • Collaborate with placement teams and internal colleagues on specific client issues
  • Analyze claims data to develop action plans that manage the client’s total cost of risk
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures related to correspondence, timekeeping, expense reporting, licensing, and billing
  • Minimum of 5 years of insurance or legal services experience with a proven track record of results
  • Experience handling general liability claims within commercial lines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel) or equivalent

What can you expect?

The Liability Claims Advocate will provide exceptional claims advocacy, assisting clients in resolving their most complex and financially challenging claims. This role requires a deep understanding of intricate insurance programs for corporate clients, industry-specific knowledge, and familiarity with Marsh’s extensive resources.

What will you be responsible for?

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $97,000 to $206,600.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
