Marsh McLennan marketing and communications, which covers both Marsh and Mercer (MM), is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Marketing Manager to join the UK team to cover maternity leave, to help create and drive integrated always-on marketing across all delivery channels. Based in London, this role will cover a range of campaigns across MM, with a focus on Marsh's Cyber and Specie specialty insurance lines. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
What can you expect:
- You will work closely with the Head of Marketing, Marsh Specialty UK to execute the UK marketing strategy aligned to UK business objectives.
- You will work collaboratively with the wider MM marketing team ensure delivery of all aspects of brand activation, including digital lead generation and client retention campaigns, tracking KPIs and ensuring timely measurement of campaign performance.
- The marketing team is aligned with the business and work in partnership with our client and sales teams in the development and activation of the marketing strategy for commercial success. Therefore, this role requires experience in working across multiple marketing programmes for differing lines of business in a coordinated approach.
We will rely on you to:
- Work with business stakeholders to understand their practice areas and client focus, using this insight to create fit for purpose marketing campaigns to support the business and aligned to the overall marketing strategy.
- Deliver compelling marketing propositions and plans that help position Marsh in our key market segments based on strong client led insights.
- Leverage all aspects of digital marketing to enable enhanced client/prospect engagement and to support activation and drive lead generation.
- Work closely with the Marsh website team to enhance UX and engagement levels in the delivery of the campaigns with a focus of “always on” marketing and friction-less client journey.
- Build and nurture the Marsh brand through a clear focus on social activities, working with the social media and PR teams, and manage the delivery of digital lead generation and awareness activity including social (paid and organic).
- Drive performance excellence through collaboration across the MM marketing team to share best practices, ensure integration, efficient delivery and consistency of approach.
- Actively engage key internal stakeholders with proactive internal communication campaigns to create advocates and amplify campaign activity to drive commercial success.
- Advise the sales and consultant teams on how to leverage the marketing with clear sales enablement assets.
- Ensure best practice is applied and all relevant Marsh policies and applicable laws/regulations are adhered to so that all marketing is compliant.
- Develop an awareness and understanding of the wider marketplace to spot opportunities for timely and topical marketing and PR activity.
What you need to have:
- Experience working in a corporate matrixed marketing environment.
- Experience across all marketing disciplines and delivery channels with a clear track record in digital marketing and analytics.
- Experience in building B2B brands, and in delivering cut through integrated campaigns.
- Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Team-oriented and also highly motivated self-starter with proven track record for collaboration within and across teams.
- Flexible approach, thriving on change and innovation, balanced by attention to detail and structured thinking.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
