Rambøll Management Consulting is seeking a Legal Consultant for their compliance team to ensure adherence to data protection legislation in an international environment. The role involves maintaining high standards for data protection and information security, contributing to GDPR compliance, and advising on data protection legal matters. Good To Have:
  • Experience with ISAE3000 and/or ISO27001
  • Knowledge of EU's AI Regulation, NIS2 Directive, and/or DORA Regulation
  • Familiarity with German business culture
Must Have:
  • Maintain internal data protection policies, procedures, and processes
  • Prepare and maintain data protection documentation (records, risk assessments)
  • Maintain Rambøll Management Consulting's ISAE3000 audit report
  • Act as primary contact and advisor for German colleagues on data protection
  • Assist with handling data processing agreements
  • Participate in activities to ensure optimal compliance program function
  • Participate in internal audits and supervision of data processors
  • Relevant educational background
  • Experience with compliance, governance, or certification schemes
  • Interest in project management and ability to implement new initiatives
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluent German language skills (written and spoken)

About the role

You will be part of a team consisting of dedicated colleagues with backgrounds in compliance and data protection. Here you will be an important player in ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection legislation in a company that works to create a sustainable future, and where we strive to set the standard for our industry with inspiring projects and innovative solutions.

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Maintenance of a solid compliance setup within data protection: You will contribute to the maintenance of internal policies, procedures, and processes for data protection, the preparation and maintenance of documentation (records, risk assessments, etc.), and the maintenance of Rambøll Management Consulting's audit report (ISAE3000).
  • Primary contact person and advisor for our colleagues in Germany: You will be the primary sparring partner for both sales and project teams, advising on data protection legal issues and assisting with the handling of data processing agreements.
  • Control of the compliance program: You will participate in activities to ensure that our compliance program functions optimally, including participating in internal audits and supervision of data processors.
  • AI, NIS2, DORA: Depending on your profile and interests, there will be an opportunity to contribute to compliance initiatives within the AI Regulation, NIS2 Directive, and DORA Regulation.

About you

We imagine that you have:

  • A relevant educational background.
  • Experience with compliance, governance, or certification schemes.
  • Interest in project management and the ability to implement new initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fluent German language skills – in writing and speech.

It will be a big plus if you also have experience with or knowledge of:

  • ISAE3000 and/or ISO27001.
  • EU's AI Regulation, NIS2 Directive, and/or DORA Regulation.
  • German business culture.
