Job Description

This Product Design Engineering Program Manager role involves supporting product definition, driving architectural and technical decisions in early project stages, and establishing program baselines. Responsibilities include managing schedules, budgets, and risk areas, facilitating development processes, driving drawing releases and prototype builds with vendors, and leading cross-functional communication. The role also involves regular status updates to both individual contributors and executive management. The position requires collaboration with diverse teams and efficient meeting management to achieve overall project objectives.
Must have:
  • Support product definition and drive closure of architecture.
  • Establish and contribute to program baselines, scheduling, and budget.
  • Identify and highlight technical risk areas and mitigation strategies.
  • Enable development effort by creating and monitoring an efficient process.
  • Drive drawing releases and tooling kickoff with vendors to meet aggressive schedules.
  • Plan and execute prototype builds by directing OEM partners.

Job Details

- Support product definition and drive closure of architecture and technical opens in early stages of a project. - Establish and contribute to program feature baseline, scheduling, budget, critical paths, and technology risk areas for execution through final delivery of the product - Identify and highlight technical risk areas and mitigation strategies in partnership with impacted teams to help drive them to closure - Enable the development effort by creating and monitoring an efficient, detailed process - Drive drawing releases and tooling kickoff with PD Engineering and the vendors to meet aggressive schedules - Plan and execute prototype builds by directing OEM partners - Lead cross functional communication between project teams and external vendors - Drive challenging activities to meet overall project objectives including calling and running meetings collaborating with diverse teams - Offer multiple levels of status across a wide spectrum of individual contributors to executive management via written and verbal communication
