Trackman seeks a Product Developer for its American Football product line. Responsibilities involve implementing tracking algorithms using radar and video data, conducting experiments to compare model effectiveness, optimizing models for performance and accuracy, and collaborating closely with the Radar Tracking & Signal Processing and Modelling & Analysis teams. The role requires developing and enhancing tracking solutions for real-world applications in American football, contributing to performance analysis and optimization and ensuring efficient operation in coaching environments. The successful candidate will work within a fast-paced, innovative environment, contributing to new and existing product development.

About the Job

We’re looking for a talented and motivated developer to join our team, working on innovative products within the American football space. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of performance tracking and data-driven insights, with a particular focus on the development of tracking technology used by elite football players and football teams.

Our technology integrates vision tracking with radar tracking to deliver precise ball data measurements throughout its entire flight. In this role, you'll be a key part of our American Football Product Development, working across various domains such as signal processing, and modelling to build innovative solutions for performance analysis and optimization. From initial concept to final development, you’ll play a crucial part in enhancing our tracking solutions, applying your expertise to create real-world applications in American football technology.

As a member of the team, you will be part of a highly-skilled team focusing on the development and optimization of our state-of-the-art tracking algorithms used to measure ball and equipment kinematics across sports. Our products combine Doppler radars and cameras, where the Radar Signal Processing team is responsible for converting raw radar signals into accurate and meaningful data on the performance of the athlete, where after the radar data is fused with information from video feeds and other sensors. This valuable information is subsequently made accessible on the user’s mobile device for easy-to-understand feedback and analysis on performance or is used in TV broadcasting for enhancing the viewing experience or in gamification. 

Our world-leading tracking technology is utilized across many sports such as golf and baseball, and you will specifically play a significant role in enhancing our American football product solution.

Job requirements

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematical modelling, or equivalent

  • Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP)

  • Knowledge of data modeling

Responsibilities

Implement tracking algorithms in close collaboration with our Radar Tracking & Signal Processing team and Modelling & Analysis team.

Conduct experiments and iterative testing to compare the effectiveness of different models and approaches for our specific tasks.

Optimize models for performance, accuracy, and efficiency, ensuring they can operate effectively in real-world coaching environments.
