Job Description

MiQ is seeking a Product Director for Emerging Markets (MENA, China Outbound, India) to lead product development and localization. This role involves defining product strategy, managing partnerships, and collaborating cross-functionally to build scalable, market-leading products. Initial focus will be on MiQ's Mobile offering, specifically Mobile Performance. The director will manage budgets, roadmaps, and ensure product delivery against OKRs, while fostering a high-performing product team and driving innovation across the organization.
Must have:
  • Lead and manage product development and localization for MENA, China Outbound, and India regions.
  • Lead on product scoping & strategy, platform, data & supply partnerships.
  • Collaborate with central product and CoE teams, and local trading teams on execution strategies.
  • Build scalable, sustainable, and competitive market-leading products.
  • Focus initially on building MiQ Mobile offering for Emerging Markets, specifically Mobile Performance.
  • Ensure products deliver against objectives and market OKRs.
  • Own and communicate Product & Tech roadmap.
  • Manage budget for Product team, 3rd party vendors, and data partners.
  • Review progress on OKRs and hold teams accountable.
  • Lead product localisation, including training and collateral.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with various teams.
  • Pursue adoption of best practices in product management.

  • Translate regional strategy into product & tech wide strategy.
  • Analyze product utilization data and make recommendations.

Job Details

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Product Director to lead and manage our product development and localization efforts for the MENA, China Outbound and India regions. The role will involve leading on product scoping & strategy, platform, data & supply partnerships, close collaboration & alignment with central product and various CoE teams and working closely with local trading teams on execution strategies with a view to build scalable, sustainable and competitive market-leading products.

The initial focus will be on building the MiQ Mobile offering for Emerging Markets – with a specific focus on creating a competitive & scalable Mobile Performance offering.

What you’ll do:

DELIVERING PRODUCT PORTFOLIO

  • Ensure all Products under your Portfolio are delivering against product objectives and market OKRs – as per set timelines
  • Own and communicate Product & Tech roadmap internally and externally periodically
  • Manage budget for Product team, 3rd party vendors and data partners (where applicable), product forecasts, resourcing plans and strategic priorities – in collaboration with Central Product and Market Leads
  • Reviews progress on quarterly and annual OKRs, hold relevant teams accountable, understand themes of challenges and intervene to help and support teams
  • Lead on product localisation for MENA, India and China Outbound markets – including training, localisation of collateral (in collaboration with Marketing)
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product, marketing, sales, trading, account management and CoE teams
  • Relentlessly pursues adoption of best practices in product management across different work streams, continuously evaluates how teams are operating and ensures consistency & timely project delivery

PRODUCT & BUSINESS STRATEGY

  • Collaborate with regional market leads, Central Product and Operations lead on product strategy and priorities for MENA, China Outbound and India
  • Translate regional strategy into a product & tech wide strategy with key priorities and goals. Communicates to Central Product & Tech (CoE) and commercial stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of company and business goals, defines Product & Tech strategy, themes and goals aligned to that
  • Analyse product utilisation data and make recommendations related to regional product strategies and processes
  • Initiate and drive continuous improvements across product & tech org
  • Based on new / evolving industry trends, identify opportunities for new product development or enhancement of existing products & solutions

PARTNERSHIP SCOPING

  • Identify, negotiate & implement new partnerships with relevant platforms, data and supply vendors across India, China Outbound and MENA – in alignment with Central Product and local operations lead
  • Manage partnerships with a view to constantly monitor value exchange and focus only on partnerships driving value for MiQ and its clients
  • Lead contract negotiations with external vendors in alignment with Central Product, Local market leads and Operations lead
  • In collaboration with Operations lead, scope activation & operational nuances of product implementation/delivery
  • Ensure alignment with MiQ legal, tech
  • Evangelize and support the adoption of global partnerships in collaboration with local trading, product, and commercial teams

  • Provides clear direction on how Product & Tech drive towards the business vision and objectives
  • Builds an effective team of Product Leads
  • Leads discussions and healthy debate with Product & Tech and stakeholders around business, product & tech wide opportunities and challenges

  • Can inspire across the business with Product & Tech wide visions and strategy
  • Negotiate and gain advocacy from local market leads and operations lead

  • Identifies opportunities and product wide areas of growth, building out board and exec level proposals

What you’ll bring:

TENURE

  • 6+ years of Product development experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in leadership roles related to product development/management (e.g., Head, Principal, Lead, Director, EVP, VP etc.)

PRODUCT

  • Experience setting up & driving a new product area in an established product and technology team
  • Experience in scaling up platforms and/or ecosystem products
  • Experience leading Product and / or Engineering teams
  • Experience of full product lifecycle (development, introduction, growth, maturity, saturation, and decline) across products and features
  • Experience negotiating multiple medium to large contracts/partnerships

LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT

  • Managing and leading teams across multiple markets and functions
  • Proven strategic leadership skills including goal-setting, road mapping, and resourcing plans
  • Experience presenting to senior executive audiences
  • Experience building teams ground up and managing individual performance effectively
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders in a rigorous and timely manner (track record of delivering complex projects on time is a must)
  • Experience creating budget sheets and managing a budget for a department
