The Product Manager is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of new product development projects. This role involves evaluating market needs and trends, defining strategic product requirements, and managing the entire product lifecycle from conception to launch and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include ensuring product compliance, analyzing market share, and contributing to business case creation and strategic deployment of new offerings.
Must have:
  • Manage product creation, maintenance, and marketing processes.
  • Conduct market studies and analyses to determine market size and appeal.
  • Understand, measure, and grow Sika's product market share.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise marketing department activities.
  • Ensure compliance of product packaging, labeling, and documentation.
  • Participate in creating business cases and strategic deployment of new products.
  • Evaluate overall effectiveness by measuring profitability, sales, and margins.

  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools (website platforms, CRM like Salesforce, email marketing like Mailchimp, Google tools like Adword, Analytics)
  • Technical experience in the construction field

Our goals - Your path

The Product Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of projects related to the development of new products. They are responsible for evaluating market needs and trends, defining product strategies and operational requirements, managing their lifecycle, and successfully launching and improving them.

  • Take charge of the processes for creating, maintaining, and marketing products belonging to the assigned product portfolio.
  • Assume responsibility for conducting market studies and analyses to determine the size and attractiveness of markets and product application areas.
  • Understand, measure, and grow Sika's product market share compared to the competition.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities of the marketing department, including exchanges with the head office marketing department in Switzerland, technical departments of other Sika companies, and external organizations such as associations, control institutes, external influences, etc.
  • Be responsible for the compliance of all product packaging, labeling issues, product data sheets, and other product-related documents and electronic media.
  • Actively participate in the creation of business cases and the strategic deployment of new products, including distribution channels, pricing, and business models.
  • Evaluate overall effectiveness by measuring profitability per target market, sales and margins against budget, market share, and target product sales.

Your expertise - Our strength

  • University or college degree in business or marketing or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in sales and/or marketing of technical products and/or in the field of marketing.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools such as corporate website development platforms; proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp), as well as Google tools (e.g., Google Adword, Google Analytics, Google documents), is an asset.
  • Bilingual (French and English) to facilitate exchanges with the team outside Quebec (60% of the time) and our international colleagues.
  • Technical experience in the construction field is an asset.
