Job Description

The Product Manager for New Product Development, Issuing Solutions at Visa DPS will focus on building innovative credit processing and BNPL solutions. This role involves defining capabilities, epics, and features within SAFe/Agile teams, collaborating with cross-functional teams to prioritize development, ensure quality, and execute product releases. The manager will act as a Subject Matter Expert, translating client needs into requirements, defining credit strategy, and developing client-facing materials for new offerings.
Good To Have:
  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years with an Advanced Degree in credit payment space in Product Management capacity.
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner in building, commercializing and operating cross-platform products, preferred in credit payment space.
  • Strong experience in SAFe/Agile development methodologies, especially Agile Release Train structures.
  • Strong team player, self-motivated, and ability to work independently coordinating cross functional activities.
  • Demonstrated technical and business acumen in delivering solutions.
  • Exposure to credit payments ecosystem and lifecycle (credit processing, acquisition, card benefits, credit ledger, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate with both business and technology stakeholders, understanding business requirements mapped to technology capabilities.
  • Superior problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
  • Strong attention to detail and process management.
  • Team oriented, collaborative and flexible with strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with limited direction in a complex and often ambiguous environment.
Must Have:

  • Develop service guides for clients and partners for commercialization and ongoing support.
  • Own features through development lifecycle including Go to Market (GTM).
  • Identify, structure, and manage complex issues to drive product priorities or mitigation strategy.
  • Define Definition of Done (DoD) for each deliverable and document detail systems flow.

Visa DPS, a processing asset at Visa is focused on providing future-ready innovative processing products with superior performance. Visa DPS customers include traditional financial institutions, Fintechs, Neobanks and 3rd party aggregators. Building upon foundation of Visa DPS debit processing business, we are expanding our capability to include additional payment types such as credit. To affect this new solution, we are looking for digital savvy product development leaders who are passionate about innovating and delivering differentiated client and end-user experiences in product and processing space.

They will be responsible for aggressively expanding new Visa DPS solutions by delivering new offerings that will be integrated into existing Visa DPS foundational platforms. As part of this new team, you will help influence and shape our new product offering.

The Product Manager is primarily responsibility is to build products and solutions within the issuing payment space such as credit processing and emerging BNPL solutions. The position is responsible to define capabilities, epics and features working with SAFe/Agile teams to execute product development. To be successful in this role, the candidate must collaborate and coordinate with multiple cross-functional teams within Visa and Visa DPS, to identify and prioritize development builds, quality assurance and execute product releases in a fast-paced environment with demanding timelines.

This role will be a Subject Matter Expert on new payments capabilities & features and is expected to work with internal and external clients to understand the needs, translate them into requirements and prioritizing the backlogs. The candidate will play a key role in defining the credit strategy and roadmap, working with colleagues within the Visa DPS team.

Essential Functions

  • Product Manager: Work with Product Owners and SAFE/technology teams across multiple internal and external business/product units in creating and prioritizing backlogs by defining Epics, Features and Stories. Also participates in solution definitions and communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solution Refinement: Identify and develop, iterate and refine client needs or industry trends into executable requirements to drive the creation and execution of services, and triage additions/changes to the backlog as needed, ensuring Visa DPS is always ahead of market trends in credit product and processing space
  • Subject Matter Expert: Be the SME in assigned areas to internal and external stakeholders, communicating concisely the features, capabilities and value proposition to meet stakeholders’ business objectives
  • Client Materials: Develop 201 level client facing materials to articulate capabilities and features, including integration technologies such as JSON/APIs and external facing tools demonstrating ease of doing business using Visa DPS Credit solutions and technology
  • Build execution: Collaborate with multiple service and product teams to develop and integrate solutions with detailed product requirements and execute the technology builds
  • Business Operations support: Develop service guides for clients and partners for commercialization and ongoing support, and ensures that the system meets/exceeds business continuity expectations
  • Execution leadership: Own features through development lifecycle including Go to Market (GTM), service description and onboarding documentation as necessary. Identify, structure, and manage complex issues to quickly arrive at recommendations that drive product priorities or mitigation strategy and demonstrate results to leadership. Define Definition of Done (DoD) for each deliverable and document detail systems flow, functions and processes.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

This role will not be offering sponsorship (including H1B, OPT, CPT) and no relocation will be available. The location will be in either Austin TX or Atlanta, GA

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD in credit payment space in Product Management capacity
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner in building, commercializing and operating cross-platform products, preferred to be in credit payment space
  • Strong experience in SAFE/Agile development methodologies, especially Agile Release Train structures with proven experience in launching products or micro-services
  • Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating cross functional activities, obtain buy-in and elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately
  • Demonstrated technical and business acumen in delivering solutions
  • Exposure to credit payments ecosystem and lifecycle such as credit processing, acquisition, card benefits, credit ledger, credit payment/repayment, loyalty/rewards, physical or digital card fulfillment and cardholder correspondence
  • Ability to communicate with both business and technology stakeholders, with a strong understanding of business requirements mapped to technology capabilities and an ability to make technical concepts accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 117,700 to 170,650 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
