Job Description

The Toast Product Marketing team connects Sales, Product, and Marketing to inform product development and bring new products to market. As Product Marketing Manager for Toast Embedded Finance, you will shape the go-to-market strategy for financial products like Toast Capital. You will partner with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to launch offerings, support cross-product strategies, and build messaging. This role involves product positioning, customer research, campaign planning, and sales enablement, focusing on driving awareness, adoption, and retention.
Must have:
  • Lead go-to-market strategy, launch processes, and stakeholder management.
  • Influence product development and positioning for new embedded fintech products.
  • Advocate as the voice of our customer.
  • Partner with product and finance teams to drive efficient product adoption.
  • Become a market and industry expert on key financial products.
  • Use customer and market research to inform product and GTM strategy.
  • Take ownership of conversion and adoption metrics and GTM performance.
  • Implement cross-functional plans to drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement and Customer Success.
  • Drive sales productivity through product knowledge transfer, seller collateral, and value-based talk tracks.
  • 5+ years experience in product marketing, product management, operational roles, finance, sales, strategy consulting.
  • History of creating engaging life-cycle engagement strategies for financial services products.
  • Strong ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Proficiency in leading cross-functional partnerships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to combine complex content into a clear and cohesive story.
  • Data-minded with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs.
  • Translate customer learnings into product and go-to-market strategies.

  • Inbound and outbound product marketing experience (researching and launching new products/features, developing segment-targeted positioning and messaging for a multi-product technology platform)
  • Experience in B2B sales enablement

About this roll\*:

The Toast Product Marketing team is responsible for connecting the Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to inform product development and bring new products to market through customer segmentation, value-based messaging, sales knowledge transfer, and cross-functional marketing activation. In this high-impact team, you will gain substantial senior leadership exposure and the opportunity to drive long-term customer and shareholder value at a hyper-growth company.

As the Product Marketing Manager for Toast Embedded Finance, you will help shape the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for a fast-growing portfolio of financial products, including Toast Capital, designed to help businesses take control of their cash flow. You will partner closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to bring new offerings to market, support cross-product launch strategies, and build messaging that positions Toast Capital (and other fintech products/services) as a key differentiator in competitive deals. You will lead and contribute to initiatives spanning product positioning, customer research, campaign planning, and sales enablement, with a focus on driving awareness, adoption, and retention across the full lifecycle. The ideal candidate has experience launching and scaling products, leading cross-functional initiatives, and using insights to inform both near-term tactics and long-term strategy in a dynamic, customer-first environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead go-to-market strategy, launch processes, and stakeholder management, and influence product development and positioning for new embedded fintech products and features

Do you have the right ingredients\* (Requirements):

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, operational roles, finance, sales and strategy consulting — ideally in B2B banking, lending and/or fintech.
  • History of creating highly engaging and creative life-cycle engagement strategies for financial services products
  • Strong ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations across a fast-growing organization
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leading cross-functional partnerships with diverse teams to develop strategic plans and achieve desired goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to combine complex content into a clear and cohesive story to gain both internal and external buy-in
  • Data-minded with strong analytical capabilities
  • Proven ability to uncover and deeply understand the needs and desires of customers and translate those learnings into product and go-to-market strategies

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions, if eligible), benefits, and equity (if eligible).

Pay Range

$117,000—$187,000 USD
