Name of the Role Product Owner SAP HCM

Purpose of the function role

1. To manage as well as support the development and enhancement of SAP HCM solution in service of customers using it

2. Prepare transformation migration plans for existing to newer solutions such as SAP SuccessFactors

Tasks

1. Defining and maintaining the product backlog. This includes gathering business requirements, writing user stories, and prioritizing backlog items based on business value and customer needs.

2. Collaborating with stakeholders. This involves gathering feedback from customers, business partners, and other stakeholders to ensure the SAP HCM solution aligns with their expectations.

3. Prioritizing backlog items. The Product Owner must decide which features are most important to develop and release, ensuring that the team is working on the most valuable items.

4. Accepting or rejecting work results. The Product Owner is responsible for evaluating the work done by the development team and deciding whether it meets the acceptance criteria.

5. Making real time decisions. During development iterations, the Product Owner must be prepared to make quick decisions based on feedback and new information.

Competencies
