Job Description
The role involves taking responsibility for the further development of Customer Retention Services, including the connection of print and digital offerings, loyalty services, user data management, and the cancellation process. The product owner will collaborate with the team to develop a clear product vision focused on users, deriving goals, functions, and initiatives that create measurable added value. A key aspect is ensuring the user is at the center of all product decisions to foster satisfaction, trust, and long-term customer loyalty. The role requires systematic analysis of needs and problems along the customer journey, translating them into concrete product features. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining a roadmap, prioritizing the product backlog, and ensuring clear alignment with business goals and user needs. The product owner will work closely with the product team and colleagues from various media brands to design cross-brand, user-centric solutions, and collaborate with UX, Engineering, Data, CRM, and Business to support implementation from idea to rollout.
Must Have:
- Several years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, ideally in subscription, retention, CRM, or digital platforms.
- Strong ability to think about products consistently from a user perspective, with a strong focus on customer value and sustainable loyalty.
- Experience working with agile methods like Scrum or Kanban and prioritizing requirements in a complex environment.
- Confident handling of various stakeholders and translating their perspectives into an actionable product vision.
- Analytical thinking, structured way of working, and a solution-oriented attitude.
- Very good communication skills in German and English.

- du übernimmst die Verantwortung für die Weiterentwicklung unserer Customer Retention Services – darunter fallen die Verknüpfung von Print- und Digitalangeboten, Loyalty-Services, die Verwaltung von Nutzerdaten sowie der Kündigungsprozess
- gemeinsam mit dem Team entwickelst du eine klare Produktvision mit Fokus auf unsere Nutzer und leitest daraus Ziele, Funktionen und Initiativen ab, die messbaren Mehrwert schaffen
- du trägst dazu bei, dass der Nutzer im Zentrum aller Produktentscheidungen steht – mit dem Ziel, Zufriedenheit und Vertrauen zu fördern und eine langfristige Kundenbindung aufzubauen
- du analysierst systematisch Bedürfnisse und Probleme entlang der Customer Journey und übersetzt diese in konkrete Produktfeatures
- du erstellst und pflegst eine Roadmap, priorisierst den Product Backlog und sorgst für eine klare Ausrichtung an Business-Zielen und Nutzerbedürfnissen
- du arbeitest eng mit deinem Produktteam sowie mit Kolleginnen und Kollegen aus unseren Medienmarken der BILD- und der Premium-Gruppe zusammen, um markenübergreifende, nutzerzentrierte Lösungen zu gestalten
- du arbeitest team- und bereichsübergreifend mit UX, Engineering, Data, CRM und Business zusammen und begleitest die Umsetzung von der Idee bis zum Rollout
Was du mitbringst:
- mehrjährige Erfahrung als Product Owner oder Produktmanager, idealerweise im Bereich Subscription, Retention, CRM oder digitaler Plattformen
- ausgeprägte Fähigkeit, Produkte konsequent aus Nutzerperspektive zu denken – mit starkem Fokus auf Customer Value und nachhaltige Bindung
- Erfahrung in der Arbeit mit agilen Methoden wie Scrum oder Kanban sowie in der Priorisierung von Anforderungen im komplexen Umfeld
- du gehst souverän mit verschiedenen Stakeholdern um und kannst deren Perspektiven in ein umsetzbares Produktbild übersetzen
- analytisches Denken, strukturierte Arbeitsweise und eine lösungsorientierte Haltung
- sehr gute Kommunikationsfähigkeiten in Deutsch und Englisch
