This core/deployed engineering role will ensure that existing and new methods, processes and toolsets are fit-for-purpose, effectively deployed and consistently utilized to facilitate engineers in meeting program/value stream requirements. This will be achieved via a close working relationship with the core system, deployed and retained configuration teams along with NPI (New Product Introduction) and Mature Engine technical and program leads, providing clear line of sight to program/value stream capability requirements. This role will support the creation, tracking, approval and implementation of engineering product structures/bills of materials within Teamcenter/NX for mature and development engines. Key responsibilities include managing product structure in Teamcenter, acting as a Key User/SME for PLM tools, managing assembly/balance drawings, approving engineering change documents, and supporting weight, center of gravity, and moments of inertia roll-ups.
Must have:
  • Management of the Product Structure within Teamcenter
  • Key User/SME for PLM tools which include NX/Teamcenter
  • Management of assembly/balance drawings
  • Approver of engineering change documents for bill of material changes
  • Interface Management; incorporating agreed upon ICDs into NX assembly
  • Support weight, center of gravity and moments of inertia roll-ups
  • Act as the focal point for subsystem geometry and associated data
  • Signature authority for PLM on program
  • Maintain BOM, pBOM, eBOM databases
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 2+ years of experience with exposure to Product Structure Controller skillset (or equivalent)
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Good to have:
  • Experience working as a Product Structure Controller within development and mature programs
  • Experience supporting multiple engine programs simultaneously
  • Basic understanding of engineering design, procurement, manufacturing and assembly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment taking rational risks to meet customer deliverables
  • Experience supporting the transition of a program from prototype/demonstrator phase to full production phase

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Structure Controller to join our ET&S (Engineering, Technology & Safety) team. This core/deployed engineering role will ensure that existing and new methods, processes and toolsets are fit-for-purpose, effectively deployed and consistently utilized to facilitate engineers in meeting program/value stream requirements. This will be achieved via a close working relationship with the core system, deployed and retained configuration teams along with NPI (New Product Introduction) and Mature Engine technical and program leads, providing clear line of sight to program/value stream capability requirements. Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 2+ years of experience with exposure to Product Structure Controller skillset
  • Associate’s degree with 4+ years of experience within the Product Structure Controller skillset
  • Master's degree in Engineering, or
  • JD/PhD
  • In lieu of degree, 6+ years of experience within the Product Structure Controller skillset
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Product Structure Controller within development and mature programs
  • Experience supporting multiple engine programs simultaneously
  • Basic understanding of engineering design, procurement, manufacturing and assembly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment taking rational risks to meet customer deliverables
  • Experience supporting the transition of a program from prototype/demonstrator phase to full production phase
