Job Description

The Production Engineer is responsible for devising and implementing solutions for complex customer needs, shaping new solution sets, and providing feedback. This role involves resolving technical and business incidents, coordinating changes, and overseeing configuration management. Key duties include leading recovery procedures, developing business continuity plans, and creating capacity designs. The engineer will also cultivate trusted advisor relationships with stakeholders and mentor junior employees. This is a temporary role for 2 to 5 years.
Must have:
  • Employ organizational solutions or devise solutions for complex customer needs.
  • Resolve technical and business incidents independently, coordinating across multiple delivery organizations.
  • Assess, enact, and validate complex and high-risk changes/solutions.
  • Oversee configuration management processes, addressing and resolving issues.
  • Coordinate recovery procedures, lead business contingency plan rehearsals, and develop business continuity plans.
  • Create capacity design and plan to ensure IT infrastructure meets business performance needs.
  • Provide feedback and influence changes in internal and vendor-provided product/service offerings.
  • Cultivate trusted advisor relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Apply advanced subject matter knowledge, lead complex projects, and exercise independent judgment.
  • Develop productive internal/external working relationships.
  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Service Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline or commensurate work experience.
  • 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in change management, incident management, or a related field.

The Production Engineer role is responsible for employing organizational solutions or devising solutions for complex customer needs, shaping new solution sets, and providing feedback. The role resolves technical and business incidents independently, coordinates changes, and oversees configuration management processes. The role leads recovery procedures, develops business continuity plans, and creates capacity design while influencing product/service changes. The role also cultivates trusted advisor relationships, collaborates with customers, and fosters productive relationships while providing mentorship to lower-level employees.

This is a Temporary role from 2 to 5 years.

Responsibilities

  • Employs organizational solutions or, when business demands dictate, devises solutions for complex customer needs, providing feedback to shape new solution sets, including novel service delivery models and quality management frameworks for emerging services and clients.
  • Resolves technical and select business incidents independently, while also effectively coordinating across multiple delivery organizations and other organizational groups.
  • Assesses, enacts, and validates complex and high-risk changes/solutions to fulfill customer requirements; participates in a Change Advisory Board or a Technical Advisory Board.
  • Oversees the processes of configuration management, addresses, and resolves issues, and designs configuration management solutions for enhancing operational efficiencies.
  • Coordinates recovery procedures, leads team exercises for business contingency plan rehearsals, facilitates recovery processes, develops business continuity plans, and oversees service contracting.
  • Creates a capacity design and plan to ensure IT infrastructure meets business performance needs, evaluating proposed changes' impact on capacity design.
  • Provides feedback and influences changes in both internal and vendor-provided product/service offerings.
  • Cultivates trusted advisor relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, fostering growth in relationships.
  • Applies advanced subject matter knowledge, leads, and contributes to complex projects, and exercises independent judgment in resolving business issues and establishing policies.
  • Develops and builds productive internal/external working relationships and may provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Service Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in change management, incident management, or a related field.

The pay range for this role is $93,150 to $140,650 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
