Job Description

As a Production Leader in Solihull, you will lead and inspire a dynamic team within a manufacturing cell at the Rolls-Royce Bristol Turbine Facility. Your primary goal will be to optimize production performance, ensuring Zero Harm and Zero Defects while delivering world-class products. Key responsibilities include fostering a safety-first culture, driving quality and efficiency, managing team performance and budgets, ensuring on-time delivery through capacity planning, and empowering the team through continuous improvement, lean leadership, and digital manufacturing adoption.
Must have:
  • Lead a culture of Zero Harm, meeting safety and environmental standards.
  • Drive quality and efficiency towards Zero Defects and compliance.
  • Manage team performance and budgets, optimizing productivity and cost.
  • Ensure on-time delivery using capacity planning.
  • Develop and empower the team, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Possess a safety-first mindset and knowledge of health and safety standards.
  • Demonstrate broad experience across disciplines.
  • Proven track record in improving operational performance.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams.

Position summary

What you will be doing:

  • Leading a culture of Zero Harm, ensuring safety, environmental, and wellbeing standards are met.
  • Driving quality and efficiency, working towards Zero Defects and compliance with engineering and safety standards.
  • Managing team performance and budgets, optimising productivity, headcount, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure on-time delivery, using capacity planning and workflow management to meet customer commitments.
  • Developing and empower the team, fostering continuous improvement, lean leadership, and digital manufacturing adoption.

Position Requirements:

  • You have a safety-first mindset, with knowledge of health and safety standards and product integrity.
  • With broad experience across disciplines, you’ll have a company-wide outlook and are comfortable dealing with different challenges, cultures and ways of working.
  • You can demonstrate a proven track record of improving operational performance and leading cross-functional teams.
  • You’ll have continuous improvement expertise, ideally with Lean/Six Sigma experience (Green Belt preferred).
