UFP Site Built is a leader in wood components and prefabrication, aiming to innovate the construction industry through exceptional people, products, and services. This Production Management Trainee role is an 18-month rotational program across 3-4 U.S. facilities, offering deep, hands-on experience in operations, leadership, and continuous improvement. Upon completion, trainees will step into a leadership role, mastering plant operations, managing schedules, and developing leadership skills.
Must have:
  • A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong Excel skills

What to Expect

As a PMT, you’ll embark on an 18-month rotational journey where you will relocate across 3–4 of our U.S. facilities, gaining deep, hands-on experience in operations, leadership, and continuous improvement. After completing the program, you’ll step into a leadership role at one of our Site Built locations:

What You’ll Learn & Do

  • Master plant operations, production processes, and product knowledge
  • Understand lumber grades, cuts, yields, and material optimization
  • Learn to manage production schedules, budgets, and cost controls
  • Gain hands-on experience with our business systems and reporting tools
  • Develop leadership skills by supervising teams and driving safety and efficiency
  • Tour other UFP facilities and customer sites to broaden your industry perspective
  • Complete structured coursework and mentorship assignments
  • Prepare for a future leadership role in one of our high-impact facilities
