Guru Studio is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee a new CG shorts series. The Production Manager will be responsible for organizing production meetings, managing schedules, and generating progress reports. They will also coordinate materials, identify potential setbacks, and help strategize solutions. Other responsibilities include preparing weekly production meetings, maintaining crew lists, and carrying out episode wrap-up procedures. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a production management role.
Must have:
  • Organize and attend production meetings across departments
  • Design, implement and monitor micro-schedules across departments
  • Track production progress and generate reports
  • Coordinate and track materials and deliverables
  • Identify and flag possible setbacks
  • Prepare and plan weekly production meetings
  • Maintain crew and credit lists
  • Minimum 2 years in production manager/junior producer role
Good to have:
  • Experience production managing a Unreal Engine based project
  • Experience with Shotgun or similar asset management systems
  • Experience working in Excel, Google docs
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills

Job Details

Guru Studio is crewing up for an exciting new CG shorts series and we're looking for an experienced Production Manager to help us bring this new world to life.

You’ll be joining a vibrant entertainment company known for creating, developing and producing award-winning, hit shows such as True and the Rainbow Kingdom for Netflix, the smash-hit PAW Patrol, Mattel’s Ever After High; and our own Emmy Award nominated series Justin Time. Our studio also contributed visual development on the Academy Award nominated animated feature The Breadwinner.

This position will be reporting to the show's Producer


Responsibilities:

  • Organize, attend, and prepare detailed notes for production meetings across the departments
  • Oversee that the production stays on schedule and communicates concerns to the producer
  • Design, implement and monitor micro-schedules across all departments
  • Track production progress on a daily basis and generate progress reports for Artists, Supervisors and
    Producers
  • Coordinate and track traffic of materials and notes and deliverables
  • Able to identify and flag possible setbacks and assist the Producer to strategize solutions, prioritize
    allocation of resources and execute the solutions
  • Prepare and plan weekly production meetings and client calls
  • Maintain crew and credit lists / citizenship and residency forms
  • Carry out episode wrap up procedures


Qualifications:

  • A highly organized team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Minimum 2 years experience in production manager/junior producer role
  • Experience production managing a Unreal Engine based project
  • Experience with Shotgun or similar asset management systems
  • Experience working in Excel, Google docs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize according to situation
  • Works well in fast paced environment
