The Professional Services Engineer (PSE) will design and deploy Forescout product solutions in customer environments. This role involves deploying, configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting Forescout platform solutions, as well as providing on-the-job training to customers both onsite and remotely. The engineer will support adoption services. Key responsibilities include providing professional services, assisting with implementation plans and network designs, coordinating pre-installation calls, contributing to best practices, collaborating with various teams, identifying new service opportunities, and staying updated on product capabilities. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage customer concerns effectively. Travel, both domestic and international, is expected.
Must have:
  • Experience with routing, switching, VLAN, VPN, WAN, RADIUS, and network security.
  • Experience with network administrator and network security activities.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating systems.
  • Knowledge of industry security standards, procedures and technologies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to constructively handle customer concerns.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Good to have:
  • Hands-on experience with the Forescout platform.
  • Experience in federal government environments.
  • Experience/certifications in multiple leading IT security, network, and IoT technologies.
  • Security certification such as CISSP, SSCP, or GIAC.

Job Details

The Professional Services Engineer (PSE) position offers the opportunity to design and deploy Forescout product solutions in real-world customer environments.  The PSE will deploy, configure, optimize, and troubleshoot Forescout platform solutions as well as provide on-the-job training to customers onsite and remotely.  This role will support our adoption services.
  • Provide on-site and off-site Forescout professional services to customers including, product deployment, configuration, health checks, optimization, training, and troubleshooting
  • Assist Sales with implementation plans and network designs
  • Coordinate pre-installation calls and provide written post-deployment summaries
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, intellectual property, and training material
  • Collaborate with customer support, product management, R&D, marketing and sales regarding deployment techniques, feature requests, product issues and sentiment
  • Identify and recommend new customer service opportunities to Sales and/or customer
  • Stay abreast of product capabilities, configurations and integrations via training/lab work
 
What You Bring To Forescout: 
Required skills:
  • Hands-on technical experience and expertise with routing, switching, 802.1Q VLAN, VPN, WAN, RADIUS, and network security technologies
  • Hands-on technical experience with network administrator and network security activities
  • Hands-on experience with the Forescout platform preferred
  • Working knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating systems
  • Working knowledge of industry security standards, procedures and technologies
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communications, including presentation skills for audiences of varying levels of technical understanding
  • Ability to constructively handle and address customer concerns through explanation or management escalation
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (must have a passport); must be within 45 minutes of a major US-based regional airport with travel up to 50%
  • Experience in federal government environments preferred
  • A self-motivated individual with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Ability to work independently in a mix of workplace environments including large enterprise, commercial, and military/government agency customers
Required experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
  • 3+ years of technical professional services experience in a customer-facing role
  • Experience installing, managing, and supporting production network and computer security systems comprised of multiple technologies
  • Strong knowledge and experience working in a geographically distributed team-based engineering environment
  • Experience/certifications in multiple leading IT security, network, and IoT technologies preferred
  • Security certification such as CISSP, SSCP, or GIAC preferred
