Job Description

Within the teams responsible for the development and introduction of new products in the field of smart cards, Thales is seeking an experienced banking Program Manager. This role involves leading the entire product life cycle, collaborating with technical, industrial, marketing, and client teams. Key responsibilities include managing new product introductions, defining specifications, coordinating certifications, overseeing industrialization, and handling technical support.
Must have:
  • Lead new product introduction (NPI) following Thales processes.
  • Write functional specifications and monitor pre-study and development phases.
  • Coordinate certification procedures with payment schemes (EMVCo, Visa, MasterCard).
  • Ensure industrialization follow-up, up to production launch and end-of-life management.
  • Precisely define product requirements and challenge R&D technical proposals.
  • Address technical issues related to certifications (external laboratories, schemes).
  • Manage technical incidents in the field phase (level 3 – customer support).

Within the teams responsible for the development and introduction of new products in the field of smart cards, we are looking for an experienced banking Program Manager to lead the entire product life cycle, interfacing with technical, industrial, marketing, and client teams. Your missions will be as follows:

  • Lead the introduction of new products (NPI) following Thales processes
  • Write functional specifications and monitor pre-study and development phases
  • Coordinate certification procedures with payment schemes (EMVCo, Visa, MasterCard, etc.)
  • Ensure industrialization follow-up, up to production launch and end-of-life management
  • Precisely define product requirements and challenge technical proposals from R&D teams
  • Address technical issues related to certifications (external laboratories, schemes)
  • Manage technical incidents in the field phase (level 3 – customer support)

Your profile

Do you have the ambition to lead strategic technical projects in a demanding and international environment?

You have an engineering degree or a Master's in computer science, and have solid experience in:

  • Management of complex technical projects
  • Development or R&D environment related to smart cards
  • EMVCo standards and payment scheme specifications
  • Definition of technical requirements and dialogue with various technical profiles (marketing, R&D, clients)

Experience in smart cards is an essential asset for success in this position.
